It is inaccurate. That's my bad.

However, let's keep this in perspective. He's only won TWO playoff games.

....I wouldn't break out the gold jacket just yet.

Still inaccurate. Won vs chiefs in 2013 and vs Bengals and broncos in 2014. I'm not saying he is the greatest qb in the league. Just pointin out when someone isn't a fan of a particular team/player sometimes facts get lost on them.
Good for the Colts. I wish we had a QB on our roster that was anywhere close to his talent level.

But...but...but... Jeff Driskel!!!

We did. But he's coaching at Michigan now.

Meh, as good of a coach as he was he annoyed me more often than not.

If you're just talking playoffs I seem to recall Peyton Manning having a pretty spotty playoff record too early on his career. It's the drawback of having no defense and Luck has no run game either. When you put everything on one person's shoulders they're going to collapse in spectacular fashion. That contract isn't going to help the D and run game but neither is letting Luck walk. It's part of the league.

Respectfully, I think you're missing the point. Ok he's won three playoff games. That still doesn't in any way make him a "franchise" QB deserving of being the highest paid at his position.

Again, I'll use Kap as an example because he's one that everyone here knows. His performance in the playoffs far exceeds anything Luck has done (even when the defense s**t the bed) yet people want him gone because he doesn't rack up gaudy passing stats during the regular season.

Jay Cutler has a few playoff victories under his belt too. Is he a franchise QB? I go back to Carson Palmer and Tony Romo. Anyone think either of those two will be holding up a Lombardi trophy anytime soon?

It seems like in discussions like these people forget the point of playing the game is to WIN. Not give great interviews en route to s**tty postseason performance.

But if that's your measuring stick then I guess yea, Andrew Luck is your man.

Too bad Luck is going to regress after getting paid. He can't do worse than last year doe.

Except he has shown signs of being a franchise qb in his short 4 year career and all you have to do is look at his years 2 and 3. His best year 4,700 yards with 40 touchdowns to 16 picks. Kaepernick and Smith couldn't get to those numbers with a 24 game season. He took the Colts to the conference finals that year before getting routed by New England. Making the Super Bowl isn't as easy as people make it out to be. Aaron Rodgers has 1 Super Bowl appearance in 8 years as a starting qb. The year he won GB had a top 5 defense. Since then it's been 6 years straight of falling short maybe he should be downgraded. Peyton Manning goat qb. Only won Super Bowls when his defense carried him. You want to talk about falling short in the playoffs analyze that guys career. It's a team game and Indy is lacking on defense and the run game.

If the priority is to win though having a franchise qb is the easist way to be a perennial contender. Actually winning the Super Bowl you're never guaranteed it. Having an elite D is the better path but we had an elite defense and we fell short too. So maybe the Colts should let Luck walk start a 5 year rebuilding plan on that defense for a slim chance at contending. You have to work with the pieces you have and pay the market rate for the position. Being the highest paid doesn't always mean being the best and that goes for every position. It's just when your contract hit the market. I wouldn't put Luck in Manning, Brady or Rodgers grade but I would put him above Palmer, Cutler and Romo. Whether they can win it all will be beyond Luck since it is a team game.

You are missing the point LUCK NOT HIS TEAM CHOKED in the playoffs many times. Luck has elite wrs that get open regardless of the OL or running game and STILL throws ints and performs horrible. His defense isn't that good however luck is the one not scoring and that is a fact. Only Andy dalton has done worse with such good weapons.

How many Super Bowls did Dan Marino win? Because I don't see a very good track record for teams with a passing attack and no defense and run game when it comes to the postseason. What ends up happening is they get asked to do much and collapse. Marino had 10 multiple pick games in 18 post season outings. It's not new.

I don't get what the laughing is about. TY Hilton made the Pro Bowl the last two years and even with an aging Reggie Wayne they made a far better tandem than anything we've had going back a while.

Hell, even Donte Moncrief would start for the 49ers.

I'm seriously not trying to hear Luck didn't have any weapons. He wasn't throwing 4700+ yards of passing to himself. I fully admit that he's a good regular season QB, but he chokes in the playoffs.

That is just a fact.

You guys are arguing points no one is making. Yeah we know they have weapons. So did Manning, Rodgers and Brady. What you think Hilton and Moncrief are better than Thomas and Sanders? Peyton only wins with a defense though.
