On a deal just like what Okung signed for. $5M to prove he's healthy with an option to pick up the next 4 years at $12M.

Well I'm glad we can agree on somethings.

I just wish we could all get together to talk about football. It's just a lot easier. Having to explain everything in detail on a laptop just gets old and repetitive. I really need one of those microphones and programs that allow you to talk and the computer just writes what you're saying. lol

As far as Clady I feel the same way. I checked his current 3-5 year resume as well and I wouldn't offer him much. Too worried he'd get hurt, is too old and dropping rapidly, or would just fall off a cliff early in the season and leave us stranded on the o line again. Not excited to go that route. He wouldn't take what I offer and he won't take what Baalke offers either. Baalke would want to pay what Elway paid Okung ($5mil + incentives) and I'd want to pay about $4.5mil + incentives to keep it under $5mil and about the same as Staley, no more.

I just want to maybe grab a few more FA pieces to cheap contracts for competition, then get young in the draft and play our rookies that are ready to perform and get paid in the near future.

After that just wait until after the draft and grab as many UDFA's as we can, then look to cuts to grab a few more pieces for the season.

Most of these guys are in the last year of their deals and their teams might not be able to afford them or the team brought in someone to start over them

So basically you are trading away virtually our entire draft for players who will play for us one year and then hit fee agency. So, this time next year we are in the same boat but without a contribution from this year's draft.

I love Kap... but still think we should do this... trade him for Gordon straight up... browns cant trust RG3 enough they need to bring in someone else to compete with him
