Rather sign the last 3 and bypass him.

Would imagine either him or Butler are locks to be a Niner.

Niners were a finalist for Peters knowing the comp would be substantial. They're all-in on improving at CB. In full win now mode.

I think we will sign either Melvin, Butler or Johnson.
Not a good football news day. We didn't get Peters and he landed in the division. At least Seattle is still getting worse by the second and this Johnson guy will be available.

I would hold on to that thought because this Peters trade could blow up in their face if he starts to lash out.

Among the teams interested in trading for #Chiefs CB Marcus Peters were the #Browns and #49ers. This also means #Rams CB Trumaine Johnson is moving on.

Connecting the dots here is pretty simple. Johnson came up with the Rams with Gregg Williams as his defensive coordinator and mentor. Now Williams runs the Browns defense and his team sorely needs size and playmaking at cornerback.

That connection makes sense, but if the real question is does he want to play for a loser team like Cleveland.

Ummm if he chooses to go there because of Greg Williams and not keeping in mind that the Cleveland Browns are where players go to kill their careers, then he is as dumb as rocks.

Greg Williams might not even be there after this year because if they have another losing season, which is most likely, that coaching staff will all be fired lol

I kinda hope he does.

Well, with Peters going to the Rams, you can all bet we're all in on Johnson.

I'll take Johnson and keep my draft picks

This.. i'd rather get Johnson and keep the picks. Who knows, maybe they we're going after Peters, but the Chiefs were asking for too much. Maybe we even have a wink wink from one of the agents of one the top FA cornerbacks saying they want to sign with us. I know speculation on my part lol.

All i know is Peters could be good for the Rams or it can all blow up in their face.. lets hope its the latter.

Maybe Lynch was fleecing the Rams by driving up the ante by showing fake interest in Peters.

I want this cornerback and I hope our general manager and Chip Kelly covets the length of this cornerback and we could have two starters in Johnson and Johnson. Both very good cbs. I think it would take 6 million per year to sign him because he is still under the radar a bit but he Easley has potential to be a top 10 CB.

What do you guys think? We definitely need an upgrade at the spot and we would look like a poor man's Seattle Seahawks when they had Sherman and Browner.

Bump for guapo.

Gregg Williams might be there for a yr tops lol...it's all about connecting the dots I get it, but if I was him I wouldn't bank on the idea of working with him past this season.

We will see what happens.

We're the 49ers. We can do what we want.
Peters is a waste of space on this planet. Football player requirements should be that they can have intellectual- intelligent conversations. Thus, exiling him from any roster. Pass-

Crazy that we'll have to face Peters, Sherman, and Peterson twice a year lol.

Given the number of grammatical errors in this post, should you also be exiled from the planet as a waste of human flesh?

Congrats though, you win the award for dumbest post on this board.
