I'm just hearing on Sky Sports the Hue us not going to hire an OC at Cleveland, I thin that may be why we didn't offer him the job as I am assuming he declared it in the interview. Thoughts?

Mary Kay Cabot @MaryKayCabo
#Browns are in negotiations with former #Colts OC Pep Hamilton to become Assistant head coach/Offense. Hue Jackson will call plays

Oh nice, so they're going to do the same thing they did at IND...long developing pass plays with no oline and running game?

It sounds like Hue is going to call plays in addition to being head coach, along with significant say in personnel decisions. One man can't do it all; best of luck. (As a fan of coach Hue)

SO glad Hue got got signed to cleveland.
If Hue came here i honestly think it would be a Kap/Gabbert scenario all over again or a Kap/Alex situation, with half the board crying about it for 5 years, and the other half J*rking off to the hire for 5 years.

I do have to give it to Hue. At least on paper his coaching staff looks pretty solid so far.

I'd be jerking off regardless

This. Not sure why people would be against Hue Jackson getting a look. This is a smart move.

Go look at what he's done offensively in the past.
...He's a great offensive mind and will bring in a solid staff, yes I'd rather have Sean Payton but in no way do I want Shanahan or Holmgren over this guy.

Hue Jackson is going to become the the next great head coach for the next 10 years.
Just a reminder for some of our resident trash talkers. Still think he's great?

LOL, Hue Jackson might very well be the worst HC of all time.

I know right he's for sure got total control of that team lol
I'm guessing if he had a choice he would have passed on wentz/Mitch/Watson and collected a f**k ton of draft picks as well.
He'd be coach of the yr if he actually got qbs like hogan/kizer/Kessler/Brock to actually play well.
You can only polish a turd so much... at the end of the day it's still a turd.
Chip Kelly worked out real well
