Well that was fun while it lasted. I don't care who we get now. I have zero confidence in Jackson, Gase, Shanahan or Kelly. At least none of those names get me excited. Go after Shaw and if you can't have him then I would rather have Holmgren who has been successful everywhere he's been except Cleveland. I know he's old and may not have it but I would trust him more than the others especially if he just has to worry about football. That's sucks about Payton but I guess it was a long shot.

Sean Payton just said he doesn't know all the particulars of his contract. He s a head coach, Tim Kawakami & Ann Killion called Balkee a flat out liar the other day when he said he didn't know his contract to the details. Those 2 ate such a waste of journalism. Their last 359 straight articles about the Niners have been exactly the same. Straight hacks

it makes people feel good to try to blame someone,, but in the end,, payton did what he wanted to do for himself, credit to the saints, they found a way to work it out. i do not think our plans to interview and identify candidates halted in order to wait to see what payton did. for all we know, he told the niners of his decision yesterday
