Again, Garcias DUI is irrelevant. Any backlash TO faces from the 49er fan base, and every other fan base he's played for for that matter, was brought on by no one else other than himself.

Owens did absolutely nothing to deserve backlash. He was the model teammate.

What does Garcias DUI have to do with TO?
I've also read the police report and nowhere in that report did it mention underage girls or furnishing alcohol to underage girls

There were two girls riding with him as passengers - 20 and 18. I should have said "under the legal drinking age."

The point is that our fan base is vilifying T.O. for nothing while taking up for poor, drunk driving Jeff Garcia.

Hate to get involved but you think they were just sober chillin? Lol.
They coulda been smoking or Molly and water type of chicks, who knows haha.

Anyways hell get in eventually.

He said specifically that in the police report he furnished alcohol to underage girls...both statements about furnishing alcohol and them being underage were proven false .
Lol I feel like this whole thing with bringing up Garcias DUI is very apropos for a TO thread. Deflect from your own issues by slamming someone else about something totally unrelated. Classic

well what team would he represent? obviously not the eagles, the cowboys?? after he did that star celebration? i would be pissed. He burns bridges on almost every team he was on except the bills and bengals.

Did the NFL change the hall of fame rules where the player selects a team to go in under? I Know Baseball has that rule for the cap they wear on their bust in Cooperstown, but for Pro Football hall of fame, always thought they list every team you played for or associated with.,

honestly im not sure im just curious cause he said he doesn't want to represent the niners if he makes the hall.

Hall of Fame football players go into the Hall of Fame as just that......football players. There is no team they represent. This is not baseball. That is why I said in the other thread that the TMZ reporter is an idiot who has no idea what he is talking about.

Agreed. The most unfairly criticized player in my lifetime.

The police report talks about the fact there were girls under the legal drinking age in the car with him. Do you really think he didn't buy them booze?

This is completely related. 49er fans vilify Owens for absolutely nothing, while they have nothing bad to say about Jeff "drink and drunk" Garcia.

watch as folks who have always hated on him.. come out and claim they hate him now because of the latest news clip.

If you think what T.O. said was a shot at the 9er fans who followed him all those years... then you are a self centered individual. Same kind of reason to get mad at Kap for holding a Dolphins hat.

his issue was with the organization... and they tried to trade him for a 2nd Round pick to the Ravens..... instead were forced to trade him for 3rd Round Pick and Brandon F'n Whiting or whatever the f**k his name was.

T.O. used his right to challenge the trade to the Ravens... but folks were mad at him because he did...lol. And folks will get mad at him not showing "loyalty" to that organization that didn't show him loyalty after playing his heart out for them.

TO is melodramatic selfish prick, and one hell of a wide receiver.

He couldn't last in philly or Dallas and went out like a chump. Forced to retire because no one could stand him

So now you are making assumptions. Fact is you flat out lied about a few things. 1. Women were not underage girls...2. Nowhere did it say that he furnished alcohol to these women. It mentioned their ages of 18 and 20 and that they were released at the scene. So that flies in the face of your assertion that they were drunk and Garcia was the reason.
And again, it is not related. It's just an exuse for you to deflect and make more excuses for TOs behavior. This conversation has run its course and you are entitled to your opinion

He has no one to blame but himself for not getting in. As much as you'd like to believe that it's all about the numbers, there's more to it than that. Owens garnered himself a bad reputation for being a selfish asshat. If he never gets in, it's on TO for being so unlikable. Which makes all those stats he piled up irrelevant, just a monumental effort pissed away by a bad attitude.

Nope. Owens was the consummate teammate. His former teammates say so themselves.

Derrick Deese on an interview for this very website: I mean, s**t, you're talking about a guy, like I said, I talk to him like every couple of weeks. So if I thought he was a bad teammate, obviously, we wouldn't have a good relationship, we wouldn't have a good rapport, so we wouldn't talk. I didn't have problems with him. There's a lot of things that T.O. did for younger guys that were just coming into the league and guys that needed help on the side, that some of us didn't know and some of us did know, and T.O. took care of it. You can ask those guys. You can talk to those guys personally and they'll tell you, 'hey, look, man, he did a lot for me that people don't even know about, and he never wanted to be acknowledged for doing it.' And those are the kind of things that I look at people and say, look, you can't talk bad about someone you've never spent time with. A lot of people have criticized him because of some of those things they've seen or some of the things they've heard. But unless you spend a day or two days with the guy personally, I don't want to hear anything you have negative to say about him because I think he's a good guy and I think he gets a bad rap."

Of course they did, that changes nothing I said though. He's a self-centered asshat who has serious character issues that has proved it by his actions time and again. What someone says means nothing when it doesn't match up with their actions.

1. They were under the legal drinking age. That's what I was referring to.
2. It's obvious he provided alcohol to him from the context. That's what I was referring to.

What behavior? T.O. never did a thing wrong.

What actions?

NFL player Terrell Owens' mother, Marilyn, was just 16 years old when she got pregnant after an affair with the married neighbor who lived across the street. Terrell didn't learn the truth about his father until he was 11, and says he never saw his parents come together for his benefit. Now is that time.

This whole notion that I as a supporter of his up until his last comment that I shouldnt feel some type of way cuz he said it about the organization is some b******t. Decline the question or say Idk. I dont think he thought about his fans when he answered imo. I get folks opposing pov's but I dont agree.

Lol @ comparing TO calling Garcia gay to the media and Garcia getting a DUI.

That's. a joke. TO was always a cry baby diva and Garcia was always a professional, even after being called out in the media as gay by a teammate that should have never said it and also should have always had his back.

TO proved to be a punk, that's his s legacy.
