Baalke be like, man, there's so much talent on the roster that will get cut, I need to get something for these guys.

Thomas and Acker were going to be cut. Getting something in return isn't bad. Did he get good compensation? No. Sad to see Baalke miss on Thomas a 3rd round pick. I'm terrified to see who went after that pick.

Isn't the point to upgrade every year? Getting rid of them in this case means the players ahead of them are better...so.much they got pushed right off the roster and we still ended up getting something for them.

Win-win unless you're a...well...

Exactly be excited about Robinson, Redmond, C.Davis, Tiller, Garnett, A.Davis and Reaser performing so well we can let these guys go.

I thought Acker wouldn't be a starter on any other team though?

Thomas was the final pick in the 3rd round. The only really notable picks from the 4th round of that draft were Devonta Freeman and Martavis Bryant. People really overestimate the success rate of third day picks sometimes.
I believe we'll find a spot for this guy even when lynch comes back even if it's at the expense of a good ST player(though doesn't he play ST himself? One more great offseason and he be a GREAT rotational pass rusher.

So, you're saying he can no longer be terrified ... lol
As for Marcus Rush (what this post is supposed to be about), he'll hopefully replace Lemonier, who's been a huge disappointment.

Baalke going to trade him for a 2020 8th round pick. Then he will petition the league to make the draft 8 rounds.

Yep. He can rest easy. 95% of the picks after Thomas have contributed as little as he has.

That sucks cause I really wanted Bryant in that draft. Thought Watkins overshadowed him. But if he was here he probably wouldn't be half the players he is with Pitt

He's also suspended for the whole year, so it doesn't much matter.

Baalke fans be like great job GM of the year.
I'm rooting for Rush. Hope he beats out Lemonier and gets the last spot on the 53!

Would be shocked to see otherwise
He must make the roster. He dominated the pre-season. He dominated like a white Aldon Smith.
