Thomas and Acker were going to be cut. Getting something in return isn't bad. Did he get good compensation? No. Sad to see Baalke miss on Thomas a 3rd round pick. I'm terrified to see who went after that pick.

Isn't the point to upgrade every year? Getting rid of them in this case means the players ahead of them are better...so.much they got pushed right off the roster and we still ended up getting something for them.

Thomas was the final pick in the 3rd round. The only really notable picks from the 4th round of that draft were Devonta Freeman and Martavis Bryant. People really overestimate the success rate of third day picks sometimes.

That sucks cause I really wanted Bryant in that draft. Thought Watkins overshadowed him. But if he was here he probably wouldn't be half the players he is with Pitt
