I wouldn't be upset for one second with that pick! Same concept with Buckner as well. We're going to need a heavy rotation along the DL as well, like last year. IIRC, Williams was the team lead at 57% of the snaps, meaning we rotated a ton with everyone else.
I also wouldn't be upset at the Buckner pick he's a much better prospect than the guy from Oregon last year
. However I do believe this offense needs to be rebuilt completely and might as well get line in order. Also wouldn't be upset if they took one the QBs. I think its gotta be OL, DL or QB with the #7 pick.
Here's how you figure out if that is sound strategy.
In the short time Brown has played...do you see more talent in him at RT than you see in TJE, Ramsey or Dorsey at 3-4 DE??
I see more upside with Brown, and frankly, the gap between Stanley and Brown isn't all that much coming out of college other than Brown's extreme weight issues. Brown was thought of as one of the most talented kids last year if not for weight and issues with work ethic.
2 things he quelled as soon as he got to camp last year.
So by that logic the pick would be Buckner.
