Gr8 b8 m8. Trolololol

Since Trent drafted A davis in the 1st these are the tackles hes taken after.

None. 2011
Jason Slowey in the 6th 2012.
Carter Bykowski in the 7th 2013.
Ian Silberman in the 6th 2015.
Trent Brown in the 7th 2015.

Maybe if he drafted a legit T in the first few rounds we'd have a decent one now. lol

I wouldn't be upset for one second with that pick! Same concept with Buckner as well. We're going to need a heavy rotation along the DL as well, like last year. IIRC, Williams was the team lead at 57% of the snaps, meaning we rotated a ton with everyone else.

I also wouldn't be upset at the Buckner pick he's a much better prospect than the guy from Oregon last year . However I do believe this offense needs to be rebuilt completely and might as well get line in order. Also wouldn't be upset if they took one the QBs. I think its gotta be OL, DL or QB with the #7 pick.

Here's how you figure out if that is sound strategy.

In the short time Brown has played...do you see more talent in him at RT than you see in TJE, Ramsey or Dorsey at 3-4 DE??

I see more upside with Brown, and frankly, the gap between Stanley and Brown isn't all that much coming out of college other than Brown's extreme weight issues. Brown was thought of as one of the most talented kids last year if not for weight and issues with work ethic.

2 things he quelled as soon as he got to camp last year.

So by that logic the pick would be Buckner.

Joe Staley said "it's expected" that Trent Brown takes over a starting spot; said he doesn't know what's going on with Anthony Davis.

Well, there's your "headache." If Twitter Whore comes back, he's not being given his job back outright and will actually have to compete for a starting spot. Staley loves Brown and has taken him under his wing...therefore, so do I.

"...this guy can be a backup." ~ susweel

I hope he's more than that sus!

So do I but it's asking a bit much from a 7th rounder. I'd draft Ronnie Stanley in the 1st and if this guy play then great because staley is starting to get long in the tooth.

I had the same thoughts earlier in he offseason and people got crazy about it. I think we should bring in maybe a 2nd to 3rd rounder to compete for a spot.

I really don't know this years players in the draft at all.

This is a great way of looking at it too especially b/c we'll be rotating anyhow, unlike at T.

Is Buckner that much better than Dial? It doesn't matter...both will get plenty of snaps. And Dial may have to play some NT now thanks to Williams.

Then again, our luck with healthy OL and the importance of a quality T? Oh man...

That's a pic of Hyde riding Brown into the EZ.

Brown beat out Pears at the end of the year so I don't think it is shots fired at him. I think it was meant to be fired at Davis mostly. It doesn't seem like Staley is a fan of Davis. I feel there will be a messy divorce between Davis and the 49ers

Agree

Call his agent and work out a trade BEFORE the draft.

I would think after preseason once he shows he can still play.
