Man, Armstead looks much slimmer now. Does anyone have his current weight?

He was 290 and reported that he lost up to 15 so I'm guessing around 275-280ish....if he can get to around 270 that might be the sweet spot for him, without losing a ton of power.

Appreciate that. Both he and Buckner look to be in excellent physical condition, but for different reasons.
Now that he's recomped his body, AA should watch Carlos Dunlap tape and take notes. They have comparable builds, and Dunlap is one of the better edge rushers in the league.

Yeah, his legs look much bigger and defined more with the upper body leaner probably for quickness. It looks like he's done a ton of cardio.

Some people think just cause you look solid/good carrying extra weight/muscle mass that it's supposed to be natural when it's not. This looks more natural to me and it's obvious. He played basketball for a reason, he was forced to get up 290 to make millions and play within Chips 3-4. Now Buckner obviously you can tell WAS AND IS meant to carry 300 lbs. as Hero pointed out just look at his hands.

Nice name drop comparison.

Dial looks small compared to Buck and Armstead

And that's at 6'5" 320lbs

Looks good to me to play that 1T role
I wonder if AA's interior pass rushing will suffer from the loss of some muscle weight. I suppose with the right strength conditioning routine and another year of shedding boy strength for man strength, he might be able to keep his strength near where it was. But even bulk alone is helpful when wrestling with a strong, talented o-lineman.

He'll be more explosive now with a better power/weight ratio so I think he'll be just fine and can compensate for a lil less size.
Overall surrounding talent should help too, edge rushers gotta do their jobs. Sounds cliche but several things lead to DL success.

Our slow 6-7 280lb DE is going to learn from our quick 6-0 pass rush specialist?

I wouldn't call AA slow. In fact, his biggest problem hasn't been speed; it's been leverage & core strength (which is surprising, given his size).

Was quite obvious to me lol. No credit needed. I used to weigh 255, now im 185 and some say im pretty decently jacked so ive had a lil experience and the eagle eye lol.

When i had my bulging disc surgery i lost 20 lbs of muscle within 2-3 months. Atleast Arik was hitting up legs like no other and carrying weight more natural for him. Hell be damn near close to his old strength come week 1 .

5.1 40 1.76 10 yard split, 3 Cone 7.57 SS 4.53 these numbers are more comparable to an athletic OT not a Pass rushing Leo.

I agree with leverage but also extension. Hard to get away from a blocker when you can't separate.
