Just like the Washington Redskins!
Well not quite. In SEA defense (and i hate saying that), their big ticket moves have essentially paid off...and by paid off i mean they got a championship. They got a ring after landing Avril, Bennett and Harvin.

Russ can't throw it to Graham if he is on his back.

As hard as SB wins are to come by, definitely would be worth it.

Unger was getting paid around 7 mill if I'm not mistaken.

Why, because of this? Ha no. This is their go for it all move right now...they know Lynch will most likely be gone after this year, Graham could be gone too because they still have to lock up Wilson and Wagner which is going to cost major $.

Isn't Hardy due some type of suspension?

According to over the cap Graham has an $11 mil cap figure for next year.

Or he's mortgaging the future on the next 1-2 years before they begin their own purge.

Thats the risk/reward. Best case = Super Bowl wins, worst case = a couple injuries sink their season and this deal handicaps them in the future.
There is no denying they are a good team and just got much better with Graham. But they will also be more susceptible to losing their season to injuries and depth of talent as their cap and draft situations will be handicapped.

Plus they are still paying dead money for Harvin next season. Not sure Wilson gets a new deal this offseason.
