Maybe Dockett will help play a special role of getting more pressure up the middle against Wilson on passing downs than the 9ers have had in the past. I'd love to see Dockett quickly flush him out right into the long arms of Lynch or Aldon Smith (or crunched by Brooks).

Picking up graham was a solid move no doubt but i think a lot of people are overlooking what they lost. I think the loss of unger is bigger than the addition of graham.

Agree 100 percent. Unger was arguably the best C in the game and a huge reason for Seattle's rushing success

Yeah I am more excited they lost 2 starting OL than I am worried about Graham. If Russ Wilson is flat on his ass he won't have time to find Graham anyway, and to be honest I don't think he's a good enough QB to use Graham to the best of his abilities. Russ really benefitted from having that running game and an extremely good OL, but at the end of the day he's still a mobile game manager IMO. I'm not saying he's not a good player but he's not Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.

Why bring this up?

Oscar at Better Rivals covered this topic with the insider who broke this story (covers Texas). He claimed CK was on the trade block and that much more would be breaking over the next week or two...that was three weeks ago. The "take" I took from that was that other GM's (i.e. Philly) were seeking paramaters on a trade and Baalke entertained the idea...then, may have even pitched to another GM in "need" of a QB as well to help set the market. I didn't get the impression he was ACTUALLY on the trade block but if a GM was willing to give up the world, he'd seriously consider it. Also, Baalke may have been doing his due diligence as well. What if CK has a poor year? At least he'll now have a good basis, know the parameters, the market, on what CK could bring if they had to part ways with him. The Hawks did the same thing with Jimmy Graham...those trade-talks went on for a long long time. Torrey Smith also did his own research into the matter before signing here.
At first, I didn't like the Dockett signing. He was always talking sh!t about the 9ers. He even gave a signed jersey to a fan who punched a 9ers fan at a Card home game! Then I became intrigued by it. Dockett looks like an extremely hard worker, and I'm starting to like his hood/ghetto/savage attitude. I'm really hoping he lives up to his own hype.
Based on our unforeseen D losses in manpower, I like this signing better and better.

Yes totally agree. I don't know why Offensive Linemen are so frequently overlooked. And of all the line, the center (and the blindside tackle) are utterly fundamental. We had to start a rookie center last season and there you are!

Shoot, Kilgore, Martin, Looney and even Farrell, IIRC, got snaps at C last year in live action.

All of seattles responses have been that he's been injured and out more then playing, so that is there justification for getting rid of under I believe.

My neighbor is a HUGE Seahawk fan, and he's actually pissed about the trade. He said that their yards per carry average with Unger are roughly double their ypc without him, as is their dropbacks/sack. I don't know if that's true, but I hope it is.

It may be legal to shoot a neighbor in your State based on the "mercy law." I mean, you'd be just putting him out of his misery after the Superbowl. Right?

BTW: It sounds like he's actually an IQ Seattle fan which is damn near impossible to find! So he's probably correct on his assessment. He can live...

Agree on all counts.

I hope his mean, tough guy attitude is contagious.

Same here.

And there always a chance someone else will go down.

Getting Dockett was a very solid move.
