Carlos Hyde looks like a young Frank Gore! Frank still got 16 carries today, but Hyde was more productive. They should even out the carries between Hyde and Gore...Hyde may even end up getting more carries by season's end. Leave Frank fresher for the playoffs.
LaMichael won't get hardly any carries now unless there is an injury. They just don't seem to have any interest in a speed back, the 49ers love the power running game.

His spot on the roster is trivial at this point. He brings little to the running game, and lost his return duties. Maybe he'd be more effective running the ball in an expanded role, but that's never going to happen with Gore and Hyde, two clearly superior runners.

That run in the endzone where he barreled through to the three yard line was impressive.
Most of the action we've seen not named Gore have been running through huge holes on sweep plays. Through one game, it definitely looks like we've found Gore's replacement. Bitter sweet.
