That's all you had to say, now you are our friend.

Hyde is nice because he has the ability to bounce the ball outside when he feels it is the better option. This is perfect for our offense, because Gore usually likes to stay grinding up the middle, and rarely bounces outside. I think this will catch defenses off-guard.
I hope Hyde's ready, cause I think he's gonna be a big part of this O sooner than later. Good luck!

I'm gonna miss Gore when he's gone

Me too. The writing on the wall is there. He not been renewed for next year as far as I know. If we win it all I hope he retires as a niner. I think he still has a couple of serviceable years left for a desperate team needing a solid 3 yard per average back. I'd hate to see him in another uni - just like I hated joe in a kc uni and Jerry in a raider uni.
I've been drafting hyde in all my leagues, hopefully he gets a good share of carries...
he's a banger. seattle's gonna pay this season! superbowl or bust baby!
If it is obvious after a few weeks that Hyde is the better option at this point in their careers, will this staff be able to make the decision to sit Gore more? The rep for Harbaugh and company is that they can't make the cold-blooded decisions in this regard. I will give them credit this pre-season as they have infused a lot of young and new players. But will they play them if they deserve it? Harbaugh has a weakness when it comes to this I believe (being an ex player and he cares for his p;layers), and feels a loyalty deep inside. And Fangio is notorious for never letting a rook sniff the field ... that is why Reid starting was such a shocker for me. Just wondering if others think they believe that Hyde can become the clear cut #1 as long as Frank is suiting up.

Doubtful! Hyde will only start if Gore is injured. Hyde looks to be solid, but he is a rookie and still has a lot to learn in pass protection, patience, catching and I doubt he has the playbook nailed down 100%.

He sat Alex even when he was healthy.

What i see here is his willingness to hit the hole with speed, which in turn is causing him to miss some open running lanes. I'm sure the coaches can iron it out. if he had franks vision he would be unstoppable.

Reminds me of a Gore/Hunter hybrid. Dude can run inside with vision and strength, or bust it outside with a strong burst.
