You can find a dozen RBs in each draft that can play well behind an excellent OL. Guys who can play well almost independent of their OL are a lot more rare.
I think Hyde falls into that category. Based on OL performance, his expected YPC was 3.89. He exceeded that substantially, all while facing Top 3 run defenses five times during last season.
He is an exceptional RB. If he can finally kick the injury bug he could be an absolute monster in this scheme, even without a dominant OL. A guy like that you are generally willing to open the pocketbook for.
