RB Carlos Hyde Thread

Hyde has ranked top 3 in the NFL in yards after contact in back to back years. I want to see him get into the open field more often, start rumbling instead of getting smacked right behind the line of scrimmage because someone whiffed on a block.

That 4th ranked run game last season was misleading, it was yards that didn't come to much. We had to run the ball that much when we couldn't pass.

Hyde was one of the most effective backs in the NFL last year based on the various available metrics. A RB with chronic ankle issues is highly unlikely to be the selection, especially in Shanahan's offense where they grab a random guy off the street and he becomes a 1,000 yard rusher.

What Hyde needs most is a competent passing offense and a quality #2 back to split carries with.

And a @#$%^&* FB!

Adding Juice and Zuttah is going to be huge for him.
Anyone else shocked we haven't brought Harris back yet? He deserves another shot.

Nope, not surprised at all.

Is the new regime, start of a new era. I think Kyle wants to handpick his own weapons and he wants a major upgrade.

Nah let him move on we move on that's the best. Some stud RB's in this draft that have more to offer.
He wasn't all that.

He also drove right into the defenders too often. Needs to avoid hits better and use that agility.

Nope, not at all. Nice talent but his ball control is awful, its why he has bounced around the NFL as much as he has.

Yup, the reconstituted OL is going to make for a lot of lesser and lighter hits on Carlos, and wiht jusczyk blowing out the guy standing in the hole, 2nd level, Carlos may see a lot less injuries this yr. More Yds/carry, also. The upgrade at C, the ZUT, is going to help out in a similar matter. We were dying for a FB last yr, and now we not only have one but the best one and the coach to use him just right. Not too bitter, not too sweet. But just right. IF OUCH is nailing a MLB all game long, i don't think that will be an enviable position. Guy may get a bit gunshy. More Carlos yards.

Bad to be so anxious already that i can't wait to see this O on the field, but no draft yet, adn i can''t wait.

This thread has as many pages as rushing yards in Hyde's first NFL game.

for the talent around him I thought he made awesome great plays. Him and Kerley stood out.

Ditto

two bright spots on a dismal offense

Trent Brown was another bright spot and I hope he can make the transition
