Don't worry, it won't be some BS thread with about a paragraph of writing filled with my opinions.
It's going to be similar to the graph I posted on here, just on a level some of our "non-intelligent" posters can understand.

I believe Crabtree is going to get more money than people think. There are a handful of reasons:
- Crab isn't old (unlike, say, Marshall, who is 30)
- Crab will probably go to the highest bidder. Money seems more important than anything to him. When looking at the salaries of other receivers, you need to consider that they may have taken a little less to stay with their original team. Doubt that happens with Crab.
- Crab plays in a run-oriented offense, so that basically sets a ceiling on how much he will produce statistically (i.e. not completely fair to compare his production straight up to other receivers)
- Crab has great hands and unique YAC ability.

I think he's going to a lot of money. A lot. Closer to Wallace and Marshall than not. I guess time will tell though.

Theres no way on gods green earth crabtree deserves marshall type money...NO WAY IN HELL.

I just don't know how people can view Crabs as an "elite" receiver, or at least one deserving of elite money. He's certainly a very good wideout, but elite? Not yet anyway, IMHO. Granted, he's older and near the end, but Boldin has been far more valuable to the team and Crabs has done nothing to show he should earn bigger dollars. If that changes this season, then yes, a reevaluation is in order. Until then, all talk of an astronomical contract is premature.

I ranked that chart off of production, not how much each WR is making. Just because a WR like Mike Williams is making 8mil/yr doesn't mean he has earned it.
Seriously Crabs hasn't done anything worthy of us paying him more than 8 million a year.

Like I posted before,
Danny Amendola and Michael Crabtree have an almost identical production average per year since entering the NFL

Thats great Crabtree helps us on third downs, what about the games he doesn't play? Dude has been injured 3 times since coming into the NFL.

2 WR's at 4-5mil a year will help us out more on 3rd downs that Crabtree will.

I understand your post, I was just pointing out I'm sure that is what his agent will be throwing at the 49ers, there is no way we sign him to a deal that pays him $5.5 million a year, just not going to happen. When he has been healthy he has played real well with kap, I think something around $7 million a year with incentives would be a fair deal (like I said all about guaranteed money anyway) ....Its almost like the Kap deal, He is looking for Cutler and Stafford money, but hasn't put the same types of numbers up as them.

I would like to know more about Q's 2-yr deal and what is guaranteed as well.
