I also have no gripe with Crabtree.

But, I am not sure why he would complain about his time with Kaepernick. If I remember correctly Crabtree had his only 1,000 yard season in good part because of Kaepernick.

The following year he tore his Achilles, and last year Crabtree played rather poorly.

you are a good poster donnie,, would you be ok if we let crab walk?

thanks

yeah i would be, i don't think it's hard to find another wr who can replace his production. when i look at the wr corps we had that got us to the SB (Crabs, Ginn, Moss, Delanie, VD ,& manningham before he got hurt) I see a lot of speed. We should try and replicate that again.

me to. i am sorry i ever bad mouthed walker, really needed someone like him last year , maybe vernon will rebound and vance will bloom. you are right about the speed. i think we got two good kids but we need to find someone with more speed and good hands. i am always scared about drafting a wide out at number one but need to find someone and a guy like boldin for when boldin hangs it up. i thought jon baldwin was going to be the answer but thats a whole other issue

What about that kid from Texas? or Oklahoma? that we drafted last year and put on IR. Isn't he supposed to give us something similar to what DW was giving the team's offense?

There is nothing wrong with our WRs. Nothing. Stevie Johnson is soooo legit as is Boldin. Ellington showed an insane amount of quickness, like Brandon Cook. It just so happens he's on the Niners... If he was on a real passing team, he would of had a killer rookie season. Why waste money on a WR, when I doubt we go more than 2wr at a time anyway.
I'm guessing they already told him to explore his options.

I agree with the move. He simply won't be worth what he will get from other teams.

I really dont understand why everyone things Crabs is in for a big pay day? Dude has hardly done jack in 6 years. Mark my words (seriously), at most this cats going to get a prove it deal. I'm calling 3.5 million one year. Watch.

we got stevie and boldin and thats fine,, however behind that we only have a couple of kids. i hope they will be great but we need at least one new wide out either as a rookie or free agent,, the free agent can not be some old guy like miss lloyd. i think we need to add two wide outs

he thinks he is in for a big pay day,,, as usual we will set a price and that is that. we will not over pay for a guy who , in my opinion, is not clutch, is not fast, drops to many balls, but besides all that, he deserves big money

That's what I figure. With a team like Denver (I know they're salary cap is rough but Thomas probably walks), NE, or any other team with a veteran pocket QB.

Because teams pay for names. Some teams like a top draft pick who had some success on team with an abysmal passjng game his whole career from a championship caliber team.

3.5 sounds low to me. Golden Tate got 6 million plus and he never had a 1,000 yard season before this year. Delanie walker got like 4 plus. He was our backup tight end...

It's not about what he is worth. It's what are teams willing to pay for him. He is probably worth 3.5 but some dumb team will over value him or get in a bidding war. It happens.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him lining up across from DeAndre Hopkins in Houston next season. Dallas has enough to deal with trying to get Dez under contract, whereas the Texans will be looking to replace A.Johnson.
