He is predictable now on read option. Still physically gifted to make plays.

I'm sure in his first year, the coaches for the most part just let him go out and 'do his thing' mostly on his athleticism until he mentally catches up with the pro offense. I think this year Newton may be a more consistent player at qb even though his stats may not be the same as a couple of years ago.
I wish I could sit through more of the Seattle/Panther game to get familiar with the 'new' Seadderall Shehawk, but damn that was a boring game
Oh, I would neither inflate or negate his chances. He is clumped in the middle of good but flawed QBs as of now, IMHO, and whether he goes up or down depends on his effort level and the talent around him.

Cam is not dominant because the Panthers have a horrible coaching staff that doesn't play to his strengths. Cams stregths are read option and throwing the ball deep. So new OC Mike shula wants him to not run and throw short to intermediate passes? huh? I think if Carolina had played to Cam's strengths this past weekend they could have easily beat Seattle. Keep this in mind as well Ron Rivera is something like 2-14in games decided by 7 points or less. In aleague with alot of parity you aren't going to win much with that kind of coaching. You give Cam an offensive minded HC and place him in a system similar to ours or the Redskins I think he would do alot better.

dude, THE SEAHAWKS WERE BEAT!!
Fasano dropped 3 CLUTCH passes.
If that dumbass RB they have doesn't fumble, the game is over. They had the lead.
IMO it looks very suspect. Almost as if they're still in tank mode. They did it to get Cam and Clausen. I'm sure they'll do it again.

Watched them against the Seahawks. It was EXACTLY like a game we woulda lost between 08-10 under Nolan/Singletary. They had every chance to win but made mistakes to cost them the game.
The commentators said something like the Panthers are 2-12 in games decided under 7 points under Rivera. That is a coaching problem 100%. They are too conservative on offense, but their D is really good. They don't get blown out, but do not have the discipline to win close games. That's coaching. They do not play to his strengths and he would be a beast on a better offense.
They need a new offensive coaching staff and a new HC that knows what they have and how to use Newton. Until then Newton wont reach his potential.

He's too selfish and immature, eventually you become predictable. He's still a beast and lacks a supporting cast, but his attitude says it all. IMO
