I think he's better than Palmer. Good move by Oakland. McKenzie is building a nice future there.

The Raiders would be better off with Flynn.
Carlson Palmer will cost them 13 million in 2013 and 15 million in 2014. After that the remaining years of his contract are voidable.
If the contract is voided, Palmer becomes a free agent in 2015.
Matt Flynn will cost them 5.25 million in 2013 and 6.25 million in 2014. He becomes a free agent in 2015.
The Raiders do not many picks to give up this year, so I am going to guess the trade is for a 5th in next years draft. Just a guess.

McKenzie knows what he's doing...he built the Packers up to the organization they have now. He just walked into a huge mess...a team that's been mismanaged for years. It's going to take some time...now they can use their #3 pick to get Sharrif or the best OL on the board.

LOL. saw a friend post on fb that Flynn backed up Jarmarcus Russell in LSU. 
i can't remember if this is true or not...... thought Flynn won the NC before russell came in.
