All I can tell you is people in front offices around NFL are strongly defending McCloughan to me. They are absolutely shredding Washington.

Matt MillerVerified account @nfldraftscout
Funny that two years ago myself and others reported dysfunction in D.C. and were yelled down by beat writers. Look at that mess now.
One minute later:

And I mean the football team, not the government. Both apply.

I would be very happy with Jed if he brought Scott in as an advisor. I think his input on talent could help a lot, it would give the guy a reason to not resort to drinking also. Sending him home after a mess like this is going to only make him wanna drink.

It sounds like he may need an extended rehab stay before getting back into the day to day of the job.

Disgusting organization over in DC. Scot has an amazing eye for talent but has a disease and it sounds like the environment over there was not beneficial for his recocery.

This is actually a good read, pretty balanced and intelligent...
People have been understandably hard on Jed York for the Harbaugh Fiasco but you also have to give him credit for handling Scot with discretion and class when he was our GM. As much as Jed has blown it, at least he is not Daniel Freakin Snyder

McCloughan's ex-colleagues in SF/SEA are furious. He's that well-liked. He owns his past. The struggle is real. But that building ...

Baalke will intervene (break their legs) once they're passed out
