Vick: Eagles could be a dynasty

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82aa6a2b/article/michael-vick-we-have-a-chance-to-develop-a-dynasty LOL You'd think after last season's "Dream Team" prognostication that Eagles players would relax their mouths with making predictions, but no, Michael Vick says the Eagles could become the next dynasty. Trying winning a super bowl first Ron Mexico, or at least getting past the wildcard round with the Eagles before you start talking dynasty. You'd think Michael Vick would welcome an NFL season in which his Philadelphia Eagles weren't staring up at a mountain of expectations. Remember, this is the former "Dream Team" we're talking about. Things didn't go so hot the first time. But Mr. Vick just couldn't help himself on Wednesday. "When I look at our football team and what we have on paper, I think about when I was growing up and the great San Francisco 49er teams, the great Green Bay Packer teams, and the great Dallas Cowboy teams, how they just positioned themselves to compete and be one of the best teams out there," Vick said, via CSNPhilly.com. "I think we have a chance to be that. I think we have a chance to develop a dynasty." If you want to give Vick a pass here, you factor in that he's given multiple interviews this week --including to NFL Network -- as he promotes his new book. Some guys talk enough, they're bound to put their foot in their mouth eventually. But Vick was the quarterback of a team that needed a season-ending four-game winning streak to finish 8-8 in 2011. Before you can be a dynasty, you need a championship. And before you win a championship, you need to make the playoffs.

I don't know why everyone hates on that team. They had a down season last year but if that locker stays together and the defense continues to play better (as they did progressively up until the end of the year), they are downright scary. Vick, McCoy, Jackson, Maclin...

Adding DeMeco Ryans was a HUGE move for them. Obviously there is a lot of speculation - but it's not like you can just write them off IMO. If that defense comes together... watch out!

they will win their division but not any super bowls... I also think they could have the best record in the nfc this year. no doubt they are a scary team.

Some one forgot to tell Vick that hes on the wrong side of 30 in order to built a dynasty it requires a 10 year span "sorry Mike u aint got that much time left"

I got them owning that division next year. Beefing up that LB core and adding fletcher cox to plug the middle makes them scary. We all know they can score with Vick, shady, DJax, and Maclin. Just could be the team to watch out for.

Nothing wrong with his confidence. He tripping thinking they about to be a dynasty though. But they got a good team. And as much as folks talked about their weak defense they finished ranked 8th in the league. Just like a lot of the Niners success had to do with not turning the ball over; a lot of the Eagles issues came from turnovers. Remember that dumb ass play from Ronnie Brown and the Maclin fumble at the end of the game.
