Hmm..interesting. I think Rodgers is definitely an elite QB but greatest "passer" ever? Really? Better than Young, Montana, Marino, Brady, Manning, Favre, Staubach, Unitas, etc?

Again...no disrespect to Rodgers. He is def great and will probably end up being a hall of famer but "greatest passer ever?" I know he's not saying he's the greatest QB ever but even if we're talking from a pure passing stand point? I think Brady is better "passer." Marino was an excellent passer as well.

Thoughts?

is this before or after Brady threw for 500 yards? lol

Lets have this convo in 8 years, when rodgers has more yards and... oh wait, I'd hate it if he won as many superbowls as brady, well not him but the packers.
I think Theismann is retarded. There is no other explanation.

Either that or an attention whore trying to get into headlines with ridiculous statements. I think Aaron Rodgers is great, but I'm not even convinced he's the best TODAY let alone the best of all time.
Can't see how you can definitely say that it's not true. Theismann is not saying the complete package; only in throwing the football. He throws a beautiful football. Very quick released-up), accurate, can make all the throws. Yea . . . its plausible.

You can denigrade Theismann ( I also think that he's a bit of a wanker) but he's not Always wrong. Also, for what it's worth, Dungy, in the build-up to last Sunday night's game said: If he had to select one player around whom to build a team from scratch, it would be Rodgers. (over Brady, over Peyton Manning (a healthy one obviously))

But, once again, he didn't say greatest currently playing. And I suspect the only reason you would pick him right now is because he is younger. Start Manning, Brady and Rogers at the same age and most people, I suspect, would pick him third.

And up against the true greats, sorry but he still has a long way to go. He may make it, he is young enough, but he may not. Ridiculous hyperbole.
He obviously has never seen Scott Tolzien
Rodgers seems like a robot out there....just seems more times accurately consistent, than not. And the fact that he is mobile and agile in the pocket, just helps his cause. Aaron Rodgers is f'n machine!

but yeah its too early to say Rodgers is the greatest ever passer....but I think if you put up all of Rogers pass attempts, up against the greatest QBs of all time pass attempts...Rodgers body of work would speak for its self.

right now, doesn't he have the best QB rating in playoff history? or some other stats in the post-season?
should have taken rogers lol
