ARI - Kolb looked fairly good. He didn't do much against OAKs #1's and couldn't even get in the endzone against the #2s. He still seemed to make good decisions, and will likely be similar to Alex Smith, just above average. Their defense looks so-so, no better than last year.

SEA - Their QB situation is a mess, and they may have lost Okung. Overall, I see lots of potential with SEA, but am not sure they will be able to pull it all together.

SEA- I don't see teh same potential in seattle, they are young (young with upside) and have creative coaching, that is all i see positive for them.

Ari- They looked exactly like the same team they had last year, but just subbing in Kolb for their other crappy qbs. When teams really start to gameplan, and take away kolbs scrambling and double/shut down Fitz, it will be a long year for them.

I wasn't impressed with fitz... he still looks slow, the raiders DB's just looked stupid, even nate would have made a play on the ball.

I am a 49ers fan, but also a football fan. Nothing wrong with liking players on any other team in the league.

i can understand if you said " he's a good player" but the fact that everyone is defending him because a fellow 49er fan says he sucks is sad

He was better than mediocre, better than average even.Good by a rookie standard but not great. That is my point.

Kevin Kolb found new favorite target Larry Fitzgerald twice in his Arizona debut but was unable to get his offense on the scoreboard in two drives before the Cardinals rallied to beat the Oakland Raiders24-18 in their exhibition opener Thursday night.

He was aware....that he was covering one of if not possibly the best WR in the game.

lol, yes he was.. but he had no clue where the ball was. Kolb did a shaun hill impersonation and threw up a duck that floated down and should have been picked or batted down.

its funny, but the thing that irritates me is that its just SI (and the rest of the "football world") buying in to the hype that Kolb is a good QB.

I have nothing against Kolb, but I really don't understand why he is such a "star" in the league--so much so that his mere presence on the field, apparently, even for just a few minutes, secures victory to his team. SMH.

Lolz krs. so a 75 rating, a losing record, sub 6 ypa is above average now? You have low standards. bradford had a good rookie season and thats all. that is an awful yeat for a non rookie so we will see if he lives up to his potential.

You have to acknowledge the circumstances too. Bradford inherited a 1-15 team and with minimal improvement (other than Saffold) was able to improve them by 6 games!

And he was a rookie! I think you are missing something. Plus, his best offensive skill player is a RB, so checkdowns will inevitably happen.
