If it happened, it was probably the lions.

I think John Fox will get exposed for being a fraud of a coach, and denver will look even worse than they did at times last year.

Cleveland is one of my sleeper teams this year. I think they are heading in the right direction. They have a lot of young players at key positions. If they can build on what they did last season I wouldn't be surprised if they made a run at the playoffs.

I think the Jacksonville Jaguars will hold the 1st pick in the 2012 NFL draft. I don't believe in Gabbert nor do I think they have enough talent down there to be competitive. I'm going out on a limb with this one, not gonna pick the obvious teams at this point.

that is true about jax....if they start the rookie qb, but if garrard plays for most of the season i think its den or car

AFC - Bills - I don't buy Fitzgerald as a starting QB and they did nothing so far this off season to help their QB position.

NFC - Vikings - Question mark at QB, pretty much same as Bills.

What makes you think Fox is a fraud of a coach? McDaniels yes, Sing yes, Fox no.

I would take Cleveland off that list.

Broncos should be instantly better with Fox and Miller/Moore is a nice 1/2 combo even though I am not the biggest Miller fan. Plus they get Dumervill back....

Bengals have a decent defense... I like Dalton and adding Green but if they get rid of Chad and TO I don't know. They might be up there.

Buffalo, don't think so. Fitzpatrick gives them a chance and I have liked him since his days with the Bengals. He gets better every year. Probably close to the top because of the division but not at the top.

Minnesota will probably struggle again but highly unlikely the are #1.

Panthers where a better team than they played like but if they trade Steve Smith, lose guys like deangelo williams, Charles Johnson, marshall they probably get the top pick again. It will all ride on Cam.

Arizona if they don't get a QB has a really good shot again.

Raiders a possibility because they could lose Nnamdi, Huff, Bush, Gallery, etc even though they where getting better. Still need a QB.

Titans could be high up there - Fisher is gone, probably Locker starting, who knows what Britt is doing... stack the box on CJ and make Locker beat you

Dolphins are kind of a mess but probably have too much talent to be #1. A lot rides on Henne and Williams/Thomas or Brown (isn't brown a free agent?)


So I would say between... Carolina, AZ (without QB), Titans, Raiders or Bengals.

I think you make a lot of sense. I think the Niners are going to struggle this year, and may come up with as few as 4 wins. Whether that gives the the worst NFC record remains to be seen. I'm no Pete Carroll fan, but he somehow manages to pull wins out of hat with substandard talent. Would be nice if the Niners got Mebane, though.

And I think there's a good chance that the Fins are this year's version of the Dallas Cowboys. They may be in total disarray, regardless of what talent they have on the team, and their QB situation is unsettled.

Minnesota was a top 10 D, and still will be more or less a top 10 D. They also have a better OL than Buffalo thus running the ball won't be much of an issue but teams will likely stack the box unless they add a veteran QB. I think they'll ultimately end up picking in the top 15 though.

Seattle, while some considered it reaching at least spent it's first 2 picks on the OL to shore up a poor line. That should help both the run and pass game. They also spent 3 picks on the secondary and have some talent in that back 7. They'll need to shore up the DL and add a veteran QB (perhaps they go after Orton or McNabb) to have a shot at being competitive in the division. Lucky for them they play in a division where they could compete if they can answer a few questions in FA.

Like I said, Buffalo has a questionable OL and a questionable defense. Stevie Johnson also needs to prove he isn't a one year wonder. They won't be better than the Jets or Pats in that division that is for sure. They are destined to be picking top 10 again.

IMHO Buffalo, Miami, Carolina, Denver and Washington are the teams closest to the bottom of the barrel at this point. One or 2 of those teams might be able to vastly improve their situation via FA though.

At this point, given the peculiar circumstances of this offseason, I think AZ and Seattle will end up with better records than SFO. As I said above, Pete Carroll somehow manages to get his team to win games they shouldn't, and AZ is just a halfway decent QB away from being a halfway decent team. The Niners are going to take half a season to understand how Harbaugh's offense works (not to mention digest Fangio's defensive schemes) which will make them lucky to win any games until mid-year. And how well this team can play is still open to question after the follies of the last eight years.
