Willis did a fantastic job stoping him on running plays, but he also got juked out of shoes on that passing route Bush ran for a touchdown.

I dont even consider Bush a running back, he's like an intresting WR/RB hybrid. (young WB?).

That is a lot of money for a situational player.

In addition, he has had a couple of knee injuries...not a good thing for a guy who relies on speed and agility to get away from tacklers.

Houston was right in taking Mario Williams instead of Bush. Bush is too small to be an every down back, as has been proven. He just can't stand the punishment.

I was just thinking about that today. Not only did they make the right choice, but they did it in the face of the Reggie Bush hype machine. Obviously, Reggie is a good player, but he was painted as the greatest prospect to come out in the last decade. As much as I enjoy all the predraft hype, nothing is a sure thing. I just hope our scouting department has done their homework. Last year I feel the staff was overly influenced by Sing and we reached for A.Davis (even if we didn't move up). I dont think Davis was horrible, but he has to play about 2 or three times better to justify where he was taken.

Gore/Bush in 2011. Yes we can.

For the right price though.

Bush is an X factor type player. he can do it all. in a harbaugh offense he would be a monster. at the right price ofcourse, im all for getting him but not if he wants insane amounts of money. we have Gore still and Dixon is pretty promising so i dont know if they wanna bring him in or just give dixon a chance but reggie would give us that much needed burner on offense if we dont wanna just draft one.

NO media was reporting last season that he seemed to have lost a step - wasn't not as quick and elusive as he had been prior to the knee injury.

I just don't think he is a viable option here for the amount of money he will demand. He will get something in the $6+MILLION range and that is not feasible.

Why not? We have no franchise QB to pay, no top tier OLB, no shutdown corner (nate will be reduced). Why not pay him the cheddar if Harbaugh thinks he can use him. As you know, knee injuries take about 2 years to recover from (1 year physical/1 year mental).

In fact, outside of Davis/Willis/Gore, our rosters filled with mediocrity. Even Gore's contract is pretty friendly.
