Tim Kawakami@timkawakami1 hr The most important thing for the 49ers is that the relationship between Jim Harbaugh and Jed York remains solid.

Baalke is the one that needs to go.

I try and stay away from this thread but this story is just stupid. Sports media just seems like TMZ now. It's not hard to sift through details and think critically about the situation. York was buttering up Harbaugh before we had even hired Trent. I remember because teams typically hire GM's first. We did hire Trent first but the rumors about York wanting Harbaugh were already there. Harbaugh is York's guy!!!
We are opening a new stadium next year, the fan base loves Harbaugh, we are one of the best teams in the league and we have been to the NFC Championship 3 years in a row. Why would Jed risk all of that to acquire more draft picks for a team that doesn't need more draft picks because our roster is loaded with pro bowlers??????? So we can risk going back to a 6-10 record? Everyone knows the Browns organization is mess. Why would we trust them? To me, this story is nothing more than the browns wanted to look better to the media so they tossed out the story that they even tried for Harbaugh (ie: they were very thorough).
Now everyone is saying Jed is lying and is back pedaling?? And people wonder why guys like Harbaugh and Kap and Belicheck, etc... hate the media...
Come summer time, I'm pretty confident that Harbaugh will have his extension and so will Boldin and so will Kap and we will own the draft by trading around to acquire more picks, and Harbs and Trent will be seen high fiving when they land their first round pick!

It might be a "great listen" if it wasn't Seattle people talking about 49ers.
sando did the beat on the 9ers for few yrs, clayton is more a nationa perspective, anyways i found it a good listen
I think John Clayton reports works out of Seattle. Would explain a little of his homerism if im correct
Yeah he is on the ESPN radio station in Seattle, but with someone with such a national brand is surprising how much of a homer he is.

Sure there were some lies on how far the convo went, but a lot of other stuff has came out now on what is going on with Harbaugh and the front office. That stuff shouldn't get out, it makes us look bad. Im sure this stuff didn't get out from Jed or Baalke. It had to be from Harbaugh or his agents sources. They (Jed, Harbaugh, Baalke) need to deal with this like men. Sit down and talk it over. Air everything out and solve the problems.

Clayton was Seattle's beat writer back in the day. Not suprising that he's kind of biased.

This! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, THIS!
I don't understand how no one is talking about Whitner and Boldin right now! If we bring them both back, this team can significantly re-adjust its draft strategy!

He was a Seahawks beat writer from 1986 until 1995 when the show he was on was picked up by ESPN. I believe he still lives and works out of Seattle as you said, I've seen many times on Sports Center when they talk to him and he is in studio via satellite while in Tacoma

The receivers are just going to need to do their F'ing jobs and learn their routes and they will be fine.
yea clayton did come off as a clear homer but seattle won the superbowl and you can't disagree their structure has a more amicable set up right now between gm and coach
also he does have a point on we dont 'know anything about 2013 yet
and i completely agree w/ sando when he says the 9ers offense is too complicated and thus bogs down rookies, sometimes u gotta make it simple and put players in a position to make plays

Yeah. Jim must have drawn the same conclusion, though. About Lombardi.
Lombardi probably just wanted to get back at Cleveland. I don't think he realized how much Florio hates Harbaugh and how he'd use this information to attack Harbaugh and the 49ers... and not get back at Cleveland at all.
