I agree with this. Jed needed (needs) to own the coaching change. Jed needs to stop having other people do the talking. His big failure in the Tomsula introductory presser was that Baalke and Tomsula had to do all the talking. It's Jed's responsibility to make the decision and stand by it. He should have butted in for any question that remotely dealt with Harbaugh and the remaining staff. Baalke and Tomsula should have talked football only. Jed set them up to fail in that presser.
Jed should look to Joe Lacob and Vivek Ranadive. Lacob fired Jackson, risked losing most of the roster, and ended up hiring his golf buddy. Ranadive promotes cherry picking, thinks his youth coaching experience makes him special, and has three coaches in one season. However flawed, Lacob and Ranadive still project the image of bosses that are decisive on their path to become winners. Jed has shown solid decision-making over his tenure, but as a leader, he's got to develop his Boss Mode.
