Goodell just said the owners agreed to the deal negotiated with the NFLPA. The NFLPA says they didn't negotiate anything.

100% this is the players playing games.

You are officially a walking contradiction.

Where did I contradict myself. I all along have said I believe the NFL and NFLPA agreed on a deal. And that the players are making a last ditch power move.

LOL. At what point has anyone reported that everything was agreed upon?

I could have sworn everything I heard up until Tuesday night was that they were finalizing the issues and that they would then present the deal to their respective parties. That is what I thought Wednesday for the players was all about.
At this point, I'm giving it until the 28th for a deal on the new CBA to be reached, then I'm officially done!

I think I got your joke..sorry..I am just to overcome with anger by all of this.

I move 1600 miles for the chance to see the Niners play and I just want them to get to training camp so I don't see s**t on the field.

The two bold sentences are a contradiction.

You can't say "he said, she said", then 100% guarantee truth.

None of us know what's going on.

to sit here and call poo poo on one side but not the other is being naive. Both side want more and they are simply negotiating to the last second.

Dont blame players, dont blame the owners. Blame the dollar

On the flipside, I think that the players are exaggerating their position. From all reports before today, all but the "floor mats" of the car were agreed upon. I've seen nothing that says anything other than the owners added blue ones instead of grey ones. To claim that wrong colored floor mats = a total different car is ridiculous.

That said, if the owners expected the players to vote on the entire agreement sight unseen, that is unfair. That does not seem to be the case.

I hear you. Take some time and drive to the beach. Have a bonfire and a BBQ. You'll feel better if you get away from it.

If anything is to be learned from all this, it's that these reports are at best unreliable.
I thought the salary floor this year was supposed to be 90% not 99% - that doesn't leave a lot of room for error.

I've heard that they've agreed on the major issues, but there were still some minor issues that were unresolved. Schefter has referenced this as recently as today. Therefore, the owners can come out and state that this is the deal that they've negotiated with the players and have that statement be technically true. Notice the language. "Negotiated" and "agreed upon" aren't the same thing.

This was a clever way of trying to win the last few concessions by putting PR pressure on the players.

It's a large legal document. Someone (or ten people) need to read the whole thing twice before agreeing to it. If you don't do that before signing, you deserve what you get.
