I pray to god the Niners don't draft him.
I mean, did anyone actually watch his throws at the combine? He couldn't hit a single receiver? I'd be surprised if any team was dumb enough to draft him in the top 15 unless their owners name is Al Davis.
Because Tom Brady didnt hit all his receivers means that is why he fell to the 6th round? Look alot of top tier qbs do not throw at the combines. Alot of qbs this combines didnt hit their receivers on those deep throws. The ones that did do they deserve to go ahead of Cam?
dont bring tom brady into this. you clearly didn't watch the simple out routes.
im not overreacting about his combine throws.. This was just a supplement to what i thought about him previously..I don't think he will be a good NFL qb period, regardless of him not being able to shoot fish in a barrel at the combine.
Why not? Clearly he didnt show enough at the combines? And you clearly havent watched many Auburn games. You are over reacting about his combine throws, just like many others are.
And what would he have seen had he watched all of Auburn's games? Cam has only played what? 13-14 games total?
And he only averaged 20 pass attempts a game.
Just curious.......

Lets see what he did with what 20 passes a game there.
185 completions 280 attempts = 66%
2854 yards 30 TDs 7 INTs
182.05 Rating
So you say its only one year. Well he did it in the extremly tough SEC, not the PAC 10, Big 12, WAC or any other conference. No one needs to remind anyone of that. With what he accomplished as a passer, throwing only for 2o times a game, it goes beyond saying, he can get it done. He did all this under all the pressure of the media and the allegations he was facing. He can perform under pressure, which is a valuable asset to have as a QB and leader.
Notice I didnt mention what he did on the ground. No need too. He got it done extremly well in the air.
Cam is one of those players, that while watching him in college, you say"Its just not fair". Now it is college, but he has everything a Pro QB needs. Its just a question on if he dedicates himself where other qb's with the talent have not.
Hope this helps.

When Newton did Pass the ball his guys most of the time where wide open and he hit them. The 182.05 passer rating is awsome. But he didn't pass that much. They ran the ball alot. I have heared on this board some say not you But other that Iowa had a strong Running game and they ran the s**t out of the ball. Iowa had 449 rushing Att and 357 passing Att. Auburn had 652 Rush Att and 296 Passing Att. I'm not trying to do some back handed comparison to the QBs just the offiense they where asked to run. All I'm saying Auburn Ran the ball alot more then they passed it and that is why its hard for me to tell what kind of passer Newton will be in the Nfl.

No man... it was reported that Cam got a 38 on his wonderlic. Later on, it was proven that he signed his name to Ricky Stanzi's paper though, so...

Harbaugh is suppose to be an incredible judge of QBs, so if he picked Newton or any top QB I would be excited to see what he could do with them. I can't see him, or Baalke, picking a QB in the first round however.

Again it goes back to what he did with those throws. This is one of the best throws I have seen from a college kid, in a pressure situation. Go to the 2:00 mark.

There are plenty of college players with ridiculous numbers for big schools in big games under big pressure that didn't work out well in the NFL. He just doesn't strike me as an NFL Qb. He doesn't look like all that natural of a passer.
