So, if it is for a one year contract, I have no problem.

The Bills might disagree.

I love what TO did for this team.

I wish that he would have grown up and stayed a Niner.

He remained one of my favorite players even after he left the team.

However, that ship has sailed. Just say f**k NO to TO.

What did TO do in Buffalo?

Exactly.

The Bills had no O-Line, no QB and was ranked 27th on Offense and 29th in Passing Offense. I wouldn't expect anyone to do much on that team yet TO was still able to put up pretty good numbers.

Yup. That's like saying what did Randy Moss do in Oakland?

Exactly.

Perhaps TO was part of the reason they had "no QB and was ranked 27th on Offense and 29th in Passing Offense"? Cause and effect.

As I posted above, I am a TO fan. I just think: (a) he's nowhere near as good as he used to be; (b) he does not fit this team; (c) he's a ticking time bomb whose cost outweighs his benefit; and (d) nostalgia and homerism is causing some to want to sign him.

Say no to TO!
Why the hell would you want this bum back in S.F.?? No way would I sign this garbage. He needs to retire.

He's better than any WR we have on our team?

You can argue Crabtree but he is far and away better than Morgan, Jones and Hill.

I guess we wanna improve our team.

LOL why would you NOT want TO back on our team?? I love how people still live in the past, like he was the worst thing in the world. Yet no one, was bitter when he would turn Garcia's 5 yard passes into 75 yard TD runs.

You people want Alex Smith to succeed, well this is his chance!!!

See bro, living in the past is - in my mind - why people WANT him back.

I've said it above - I LOVED TO as a Niner. I did not want him to leave; I wanted him to grow up. However, I don't think an aging, one year only ticking time bomb player is what the team needs right now. We've finally got weapons. Let's develop them.

Just my .02.

In your opinion of living in the past might be true if he sucked last year or the year before. But right now hes better than any of our receivers, sure hes aged, but is one of the hardest workers in the NFL.....and hes healthy.

But why couldn't we develop our receivers with TO??? This would be our chance to run a dangerous 3 wide set, you can move TO out wide or inside at Slot receiver. The only real development we need is with Crabtree...right now. And Morgan and Hill would still see a lot of time, and it would only be for two years.

Alcohol is a really poor excuse IMHO. Did you maybe change your mind because of the replies in the thread ?

There is no shame in wanting T.O. back. I'd take him back, he'd be a good mentor to our young receivers. He has helped mentor young receivers in the past, it's been documented despite what some people will choose to believe.

I don't think that he is ever fully healthy these days.
We don't run a lot of 3-4 WR sets, so it would cut into Morgan's playing time. And Hill would become even more non-existent, IMO.
I also think that he will be a distraction and Sing does not need any more on his plate.
Finally, we need to spend self-imposed limited resources on our players and the O Line. Blowing money on a 35 yr old WR is not a smart move for our team.
