According to Nevada law felony DUI involving a fatality requires 2-20 years with no parole if he's found guilty. I don't see how they won't find hi guilty. He was the driver. He was drunk. He was speeding. He killed someone. What defense could he put up besides the idiot defense.

He could threaten to release more emails.

I agree. I also believe, at some point, you have to stop coddling athletes like society has done. Henry Ruggs had far more resources available to him than most of us do. Sure, normal people like us can call an Uber or Lyft driver and hope they are sober (I've been with a few who were not). Ruggs didn't have to call for Uber or Lyft. The Raiders AND the NFL have resources for players that we can only dream of. Players are counseled every year about the resources they have. Ruggs ignored ALL of it. He chose to get behind the wheel of a sports car capable of high speeds. He chose to drive at NASCAR like speeds on a public city street. He hit another driver so hard, that her car turned into a flaming torch. You could make the case that she was probably already dead before her body was consumed by flames, but it does not matter.

At some point you have to hold coddled athletes responsible for the stupid choices they make. Not as a warning to others, because I don't think that will act as a deterrent. You do it because it is the right thing to do.
I've never heard of anyone outside of pro racing driving that fast. jfc

Here's the a*****e

Yeah, which means double-trouble. The Las Vegas DA indicated today that Ruggs could face a dual charge of Felony DUI for the injured woman in his car. That's a max of 46 years or a minimum of four, with no parole.

That also doesn't take into account the loaded pistola that Ruggs had at his feet. That is also a felony. Open Carry is legal in Vegas, but not if you're drunk. Because he was loaded, and so was his pistola, that is another felony.

The DA confirmed the injured woman is the mother of Ruggs' child.

156 on city streets almost sounds suicidle

asked a pilot, while de boarding, how fast we're going right before take-off, he said about 150

He has a kid? Good lord.
how fast was paul walker going before his car exploded?

kind of amazed ruggs didnt die himself
The Raiders have cut Ruggs so please continue the conversation in https://www.49erswebzone.com/forum/free-agency/195553-ruggs/ and save this one for any other problems the Raiders might run into.
I saw a headline on my internet news feed that said NFL star clocked at 150 MPH, thought someone else was busted too.
