Raiders won't have a winning season because a Davis is in charge of that organization.

First off, the Raiders won't suck this season, and secondly a lot of niner fans are converting.
Just take out the word "suck".
I vote to ban this guy.

"A lot of niner fans are converting"??? Really? Do you have any numbers on that? Sounds like you made it up.
And BTW, I want any so-called Niner fan who really is thinking of converting to just go ahead and do it quickly. GTFO!
You know damn well I can't pull up numbers for that, but I live in the bay and already know a good amount of niner fans more excited about the raiders.
you cant even troll correctly....lol..converting to a 3-13 team..who have more holes then us
I'm guessing you havent paid any attention to any of the polls on CSNbayarea.com

True. But even if they ARE accurate, so what? It's just a statistical representation of peoples' opinions regarding things which haven't happened yet. Who cares?

I just referred to the polls because 49 thinks Raider fans aren't excited when in fact they are. They got their prodigal son in Jack Del Rio coming back to his roots to coach his favorite team of all time.
There's a lot of excitement in Raider Nation esp now they have a real QB and Crabtree.

Raider fans should be excited - the arrow should be up. And I actually like it when both Bay Area NFL teams are doing well. It makes things a lot more interesting. Here's how long I hold a grudge - I'm still pissed that the Niners got screwed out of facing the Raiders in the Super Bowl after the '83 season. If not for corrupt, absurd officials in DC, it would have been an epic Niner-Raiders Super Bowl (and the Niners would have rolled BTW).

In the mornings the raider fans are not excited on 95.7....plus you a person like yourself would disagree with excited raider fans because the coach has a losing record...a QB that only won 3 games and a washed up receiver...amirite

You have to start looking at potential man. They've found the most important piece which is a real QB, and now they have a ton of salary cap space.
Things are falling in place in Oakland, just watch.

Yea I would love to see a bay area superbowl. I'm not a raider hater so I don't mind when they're doing well as long as we're doing just as well, unfortunately the tables have turned, again.

I can see why a Raider fan would be optimistic. On the other hand, I think it's a little early to be calling Carr 'the real thing' or the answer to their problems. Everyone seems to be jumping on his bandwagon after a mixed first season with a 76 QB rating and I wonder if they've noticed that new QB's often do better in their first year than their second because NFL defenses have film to take apart on them after their first year.

It's not always about numbers, pay attention to the "it factor". Derek Carr has IT. A fiery leader, that can make all the throws.
Of course there's a learning curve with all QBs, but not all have the "it factor".

I'm mostly a numbers guy. Things like "it factor" I take with a grain of salt because they're so subjective. I don't know that he can make all the throws. He doesn't look like he has that strong an arm to me. His yards per catch was probably the lowest in the league among regular starters. What he had last year was really good pass protection. I believe the Raiders line was rated at #4 in the league in terms of pass protection by Football Outsiders. If he continues to get that kind of protection and they add some receivers, he may well end up being real good. But at this point, I think it's premature.

The it factor....how does that logic fit with your logic on the 49ers ?...you want to talk potential in a positive way when they showed nothing last year ?....lol

This is what I mean about things like the "it factor." It's so damn subjective. And over the course of a season, a lot of players look like they might have the "it factor" at times and at times they don't.

When you go from a championship coach to an assistant coach you lose a lot of "it factor".

That's the thing, stats don't show everything, like the intangibles. It's ok though because not all people can recognize "it factor".
