The 2008 Rookies Thread

Watching the Falcons Bears game and Matt Ryan is looking great. He had converted on about 4 or 5 long 3rd down plays against a Bears defense ranked #1 on 3rd down. Falcons fans must feel pretty good they should have their QB situation sorted for a long time.

When he was drafted I didn't think he was that good, but I now think he will be one of the best QB's in the league.

Wish we had Ryan, he is already making Atlanta say Vick who?

Watching Ryan and Flacco play makes me sad. I have no doubt in my mind that if given the exact same picks, McNowin would not have picked either. They'd pick the scrub.

I dunno about Flacco. He's only had one good game. While the weapons around him are not great, i think the jury is still out on him.

Matt Ryan on the other hand, makes we wish that Smith could have played the same .

If we picked either one of these guys we'd f**k them over with horrible schemes and a horrid OL.

The Falcons seem to have a pretty good OL which is surprising. They have a very good receiver in Roddy White, and a good running game (plus a pretty good defense).

Matt Ryan is lookin like a stud, but Atlanta is definitely helping him.

If he came here, we'd f**k him over with s**tty receivers, a horrid OL and a worse defense. f**k this coaching staff.

I'm sorry but that o coordinator excuse is getting old...and lame. Bad coaching or not, Alex Smith would never have been able to sniff Ryan's jock. This kid is special.

You realize Ryan is 23 years old? That has a big thing to do with it even though a lot of people say age doesn't mean anything in the NFL lol

Uhh, how about giving some credit to Matt Ryan. The Falcons do not have that much talent. He's making the team better. That's why QBs are taken high in the 1st round...b/c they're supposed to be difference makers. Now do you see the difference between a real NFL ready rookie QB and a gimmick QB? Or more Alexcuses to come? Oh yeah, he was 21...oh yeah he had bad coaching...blah blah blah.

OMFG This Ryan kid has more lovely throws in one fvcking game than b1tchass Alex has had his entire career.

Matt Ryan looks like he's going to have a very long and successful career,the Falcons should be a very solid team for years to come.
