All the listed choices are still on the board. Who do you draft and why?

Kayden McDonald, need that rotation on the D-line. I almost voted McNeil-Warren but I think they could wait till the 2nd or 3rd to take one.
Omar Cooper because after midway through the 2nd round all the impactful WRs are off the board, dline is deep and we need WRs
I'm going Howell if he's there. Not passing up on a top tier pass rush specialist.
I see pass rush and OL as first priorities. In many mocks, speed pass rushers are gone earlier than OL. I'd select Howell.
Give me Howell. Last in the league in the pass rush department. Don't wanna be one Bosa injury from that happening again

Kind of hilarious how all over the place we are. I went with Freeling. I'm tired of the stuff with Trent as much as I love having him. We need a guy to groom behind him. I think he can play LG while learning from the best to take over in a year or two.

He feels like a guy who likely goes a lot higher if he had more experience.
Not my ideal candidates, but of that bunch, McNeil-Warren. I could easily be convinced to go Howell if I knew what scheme Morris wanted to run. But in Salah's wide 9 non blitzing 4-3, he cant hold up against the run and is a limited down player.
need FA to happen before I can answer this. But if we sit on our hands and do nothing give me Howell
Howell at 27? Are you guys high? He better have the best combine of all combiners to even consider that. I'll take Mesidor all day first and he'll likely be there at 27.

So my answer is Cooper Jr if he runs in the low 4.40s in his 40 this week.

By taking Cooper Jr we don't HAVE to reach or get desperate for a WR later and pass on BPA.

Ideally we could trade back to the early 30s and net a couple extra picks and still nab Cooper Jr.

In the end, any trade down to 29-40 should be taken if it offers excellent value; we don't know who will drop and there are a lot of excellent players in the early/mid 2nd round (Haulcy, Pregnon, C. Miller) and Cooper Jr could still be there in the early 2nd where we dropped to.

Trey Downe should be listed as an option lol

THIS. THIS. And almost THIS as Antonio Williams and Ted Hurst could be had in the late 2nd early 3rd prob.

If we don't grab at least one of Boston, Concepcion, Cooper Jr, Williams, or Ted Hurst ... we have failed the draft.

I like the idea of

27. Boston/Concepcion/Cooper Jr WR (if we can't trade back)
58. Antonio Williams/Ted Hurst WR (ideally small trade back here to 60-68 for an extra pick). If Concepcion or Cooper Jr in the 1st def go Hurst here.

All of those guys can get open. Sign Evans or Doubbs and receiver room looks 100x better.

92. Lawrence EDGE
127. Nweiwu G
133. Durant DT
138. JC Davis/Jude Bowry OT
171. Thaddeus Dixon CB

Pass rusher, offensive line and WR are the needs on this team. I would not take S high unless it's extraordinary. We do need one but have other bigger needs. A better pass rush will actually mask our secondary somewhat. We aren't really bad back there anyway. Just have some S problems. The CB's and slot cover guy are pretty good. Better than some secondaries. But not the best one.

Sure, but the question wasnt what is our biggest need...

Pass rusher and WR probably are the biggest needs. Getting to the QB was a total disaster without Bosa. We can't do it and he's coming off triple ACL. I hate picking WR again. Because it always pushes offensive line and S down. Which we need. But Pearsall is made of glass. Kittle at TE is coming off a major injury. Jennings may leave in free agency. We have a real mess at receiving targets (overall and not just WR - but need WR).
