I am 100% all in on Emmanuel McNeil-Warren. He is going to be the best S in the NFL in 2 years. Reads the field like Kyle Hamilton and can hit like Derwin James.

The assumption of the thread is that the five players listed at the head will still be there.

I'd be torn between Howell, Cooper and McNeil Warren.

McNeil is my draft crush. But I also like Bud Clark and Bishop Fitzgerald. I think Howell opposite Bosa would be down right sick but I think we'll sign and edge or two in Free agency. The only two WR's i really like that I think Kyle would play are Cooper and Germie Bernard. Neither are guaranteed to be there in the 2nd. For that reason I'd likely go Cooper as we sit here today. Free agency could and would likely change my pick.

Pass rusher, offensive line and WR are the needs on this team. I would not take S high unless it's extraordinary. We do need one but have other bigger needs. A better pass rush will actually mask our secondary somewhat. We aren't really bad back there anyway. Just have some S problems. The CB's and slot cover guy are pretty good. Better than some secondaries. But not the best one.

Sure, but the question wasnt what is our biggest need...

Pass rusher and WR probably are the biggest needs. Getting to the QB was a total disaster without Bosa. We can't do it and he's coming off triple ACL. I hate picking WR again. Because it always pushes offensive line and S down. Which we need. But Pearsall is made of glass. Kittle at TE is coming off a major injury. Jennings may leave in free agency. We have a real mess at receiving targets (overall and not just WR - but need WR).

Agreed on pass rush and I am also sick of WR. I picked Freeling and after hearing about TW today... yeah even more so. None of the WR matter if Purdy is running for his life after .2 seconds.

I am not super high on Howell right now. I would rather go with Parker if the choice was there. I do need to read more on them though. The depth at edge is nice this draft. Completely agreed on Safety. If they take one, he needs to be a FS with special coverage ability. The first 4-5 picks could be all trenches and I wouldn't be mad.

Last season purdy had the longest time to throw in the league pass blocking OL isn't a huge issue

Take the best player available and do t over think it.

McDonald had 65 tackles, 9 TFL and 3 sacks. As a NT getting doubled nearly every snap.

There are guys I'd take ahead of him: Denzel Boston, Kenyon Sadiq, KC Conception but none of those guys in the poll would bring as much of an instant day 1 impact as McDonald.

If we go DT I prefer Lee Hunter

Whatre your thoughts on VJ Payne?
This is going to be an interesting draft lol

If there has ever been a year for the best play available , this is the year. Only position I would skip in the first round is QB. If BPA is a LB they need one. TE they need one, WR, FS, CB, DT or DE, OL Then need help everywhere on the field. If they draft a Kicked I would lose it.
We're taking Cooper Jr after that 4.43 40

National Champion pedigree playing at the highest level, great tape and physical, and 4.43 is fast enough at his size.

We have no receivers = WR with first pick = Omar Cooper Jr.

If we dont draft him the Rams will.
Howell has the shortest arms of any EDGE in the r past 2+ decades. Pass.

Draft the best WR available. I'm sure one of KC Concepcion, Denzel Boston or Omar Cooper will be available.
McDonald or Monroe would be BPA, gotta go with one of them.

Looks like a box guy to me. Not the kind I'm looking for. We have enough of them already

Yes and no. I like him because hes so multiple. Hes used in the box, slot, and deep. He is a harddddd hitter in the box. He can outmatch tight ends and power slots in man coverage. And hes got range, long ass arms and ball skills. Nothing is more maddening when you have a CB or S if perfect coverage down the field just to lose it right at the catch point. Payne strides it out down field, times the ball well, and uses his length to disrupt through the hands. I really like him.

I think Cooper Jr after that 4.43 40 is right there with McDonald and Monroe as BPA.

Any one of those three would be fine esp with the Trent Williams situation. My preference is

1a. Cooper Jr
1b. Trey Downe
1c. McDonald
1d. Freeling
