DT Landon Robinson Navy

I've yet to find a IDL in the draft that wins as consistently and fast as Robinson. Human pinball—Robinson has a RARE ability to ricochet off contact and stay upright and balanced while moving forward in confined spaces. He's a nightmare to reach block due to his quickness and difficult to move on double teams because of his insane combination of leverage and power.

I heard he didn't get invited to the combine. What a joke. The league will penalize him heavily for his height and length while they obsess over 6-6 Frankenstein IDL that look good coming off the bus but can't bend their knees, touch their toes and turn their hips without falling over completely ignoring that the game is played on your feet and leverage is king.

I would take him and Skyler Gill-Howard and rotate them interchangeably. Ridiculous motors, quickness and guys who are quite adept at winning the leverage battle.

I don't care what others have graded him. I never have made my board like that.

He's a second round talent to me. Day two minimum. We should sprint to the podium to pick him cause he's exactly what we need inside. Imagine somehow getting both him and Jackson Jr.
Want.
Not many body types to pull for a historical comp, but I cant stop thinking of Milton Williams when I watch Landon Robinson.

The body type kind of reminds me of Poona Ford, but Landon has more juice as an athlete. Same height(5-11)--Poona had a little slop on his frame(306); Landon is a yoked up fire hydrant(291). But there some Geno Atkins-esque flashes when I watch Landon. Geno would smoke dudes off the ball with an insane get off, a demonic leverage advantage, non-stop motor and rushing half-man. Landon has that in the bag.

At worst as a prospect, Landon is a plus version of Poona coming out of Texas, IMO

You have my attention...

Military academy players are required to serve 2 years active duty before they can play in the NFL. Between 2019 and 2024 that rule was waived but starting this year it was changed.

Was wondering about this. I remember David Robinson had to do 2 years despite being #1pick in 1987.
Coincidence, they're both Robinsons...

I'm sure Nick Bosa can pull some strings at the white house.

Limited Exceptions: The Department of Defense may authorize up to three cadets or midshipmen per service academy to defer active duty for professional sports, though they must still meet stringent requirements.

Yes it's possible but what are those stringent requirements?
