we wouldnt be using him as an every down player he would be used as a pass rush specialist so his size shouldnt really be a concern

He's not small. 6'2.5", 253 lbs is standard DPR/3-4 OLB size.

I'll take him at #127 and no earlier.

I feel you in regards to draft value for Height, but holy hell, the 49ers would be playing with fire if they haven't drafted an edge rusher until pick 127. I think there's a high probability they walk away empty handed without an edge rusher that helps them next year if they do that, and as much as I like the Osa pick up, he's not nearly enough to elevate the pass rush from the worst in the NFL to where it needs to be.

I don't think they will, though. I think they're grabbing one at 27 or 58.

IF we didn't take EDGE with our first two picks, at #127 we should still have the option any of these guys:

* Romello Height (50/50 on if he's there)
* Jaishawn Barham
* Keyron Crawford
* Max Llewellyn
* Nadame Tucker

Neither of the last four are probably going to be impact DPRs right away so I agree with you we would be playing with fire. But we need to go BPA as best we can with our first two picks and I hope one of the EDGEs they really like and is on a similar tier to the other players available at those spots.

R Mason Thomas or Gabe Jacas I think will be there at #58 if we don't go EDGE in the 1st round. The fact that they are not guaranteed to make it to #58 makes going EDGE at #27 probably the smartest play for the Niners.

Most ideal would be a small trade back to 30-39 and take their favorite EDGE on the board (Howell/Lawrence/Young/Jacas). Then they can go all sorts of directions at #58 ... what about another EDGE if Jacas or Mason Thomas are there... I would do that if we could get the small trade back to 30-33 to pick up #104 and #179 from the NYJ and a 2027 5th

#33. Malachi Lawrence / Cashius Howell / Zion Young EDGE
#58. Gabe Jacas / R Mason Thomas EDGE (if went Young with first pick we go Thomas - if got Howell/Lawrence we go Jacas)
#104. Kendrick Law / Brennan Thompson / Bryce Lance WR
#127. Jalen Farmer G
#133. Devin Moore / Devon Marshall / Daylan Everette CB
#138. Landon Robinson / Kaleb Procter / Zane Durant DT
#139. Zakee Wheatley S
#179. Travis Burke OT

Pass rush is legit fixed with 3 DL players who can all attack the QB + getting Bosa & Mykel back from injury. We could go from dead last in sacks to a top 10 or even top 5 unit in sacks/pressures

Benson runs a 4.36 and solves PR/KR since Morre is gone.

Farmer competes for starting LG immediately.

Moore and Marshall are legit starting CB prospects and Moore could even play FS although I think he outplays Green and eventually is one of our starting CBs.
