No idea how fast he is and I find it suspicious. What is he hiding... is he actually a 4.6 guy and not a sub 4.5 guy?

I want to know.

They got GPS info on all these kids, all I care about is your game speed. I think it's pretty clear he's not a burner. I'd say he's got similar speed to Tee Higgins.

Drake London & marvin harrison jr never ran 40s

If Boston is the dude, I'd try to find a way to move down a couple spots and get a 3rd. If a OT is there maybe make a move with NE or something.

Is he a sub 4.55 guy though? If he is perfectly fine. Don't want to pick him at #27 if they project he's a 4.6 guy. Hopefully the GPS data is enough to get a gauge on 4.50-4.55 speed or 4.60-4.65 in a 40

For how he plays and what he's good at, his 40 time doesn't matter as much imo. Plenty of really good football players that weren't 4.4 guys.

I think he's in a similar vein as McMillan, London, Sutton etc.

I just saw a clip today where Todd McShay says he thinks he might be the best in this class.

Personally I think this is a generational class. I have first round grades on multiple guys. Not including Tyson because I didn't think he'd make it to us based on consensus.

You think this is a generational WR draft class?!

I've seen you saying you weren't high on it. But man IDK how! WR is my specialty and this is a fantastic class. So deep. I expect several ballers.

OTC - are there any development X WRs you like in the 4th?

It would be a shame if the Niners do not come out if this draft with a future X. Working on the assumption that Shanahan likes to develop rookie WRs to master his system.

I'm not high on this draft as a whole. I think that's kinda the consensus across the league and within the draft community. When it's all said and done, I'll bet NFL team's draft boards are gonna have much lower numbers on draftable prospects.

As far as the WR group goes, yeah I'm not seeing a bunch of blue chip guys. Solid talent and depth, most yrs a lemon type of player isn't gonna go top 15. Boston and KC are second rd talents for me, but because of the overall talent in this draft will go higher.

I for sure don't see a generational WR draft class, but to each their own!
Had to bust out the old video editor for Boston. His blocking is what separates him from every other WR in the draft. This guy is such a menace as a blocker, but he is particularly excellent near the goal line/short yardage. He is ELITE in those situations. It's such an impactful weapon to have a WR that blocks like this, especially in confined spaces.

Reduces into a wing alignment and digs out a safety. Come on, bro. Shanny must be salivating

do I really need to say anything? When your wide receiver is cracking 260 pound ends onto their ass, no explanation is needed. It speaks for itself.

Several. Some guys could easily slip through the cracks. And then there's others that are small School stars who will go here because of the level of competition. That said some of the small school guys I'd more favor try for in the fifth. But I'll list off the other X receivers that I believe could be had in the 4th and beyond.

Jeff Caldwell – might be the freakiest size/weight/speed athlete in this WR class but not polished. Round 4

Bryce Lance – solid tape honestly. Better than his brother lol. Round 4

Chase Roberts – smooth.. Smooth. Round 5

Josh Cameron – some similarities to Deebo, although not all positive lol, but he's got tools. Round 4

Camden Brown – love this guy as a developmental player. Think he's underrated. First 1000 yard receiver in Georgia Southern history. Won all kinds of awards. Monster season with 14 TD. Yeah, sunbelt conference but it's still D1. Round 5–6

Eric McAlister – top 100 talent, but bad character. Quit on his team, tried to come back, teammates didn't want him. Transferred. Got arrested. Jones fracture this off-season. He's a round 7 flier. If you can get him for nothing, he's worth a shot though.

I mean this will get him on the field asap.
im starting to have some hope that Tyson may fall to us

Not in love with the QB play at Texas A&M either. Even on completions in the highlight package there a lot of meat left on the bone. A long of 48 yards on the year is criminal.

Agreed. The only thing that gives me pause about KC being a Niner is his blocking. He is sooo bad.

Drops give me pause too. Not a one off either; over 10% drop rate over the past two years. A WR that has a problem catching the ball… yeah Imma pass on that with a first round pick

I think this is why we would favor Boston. Add in the drop issues and it's easy to have Boston ahead. Boston looks quick on tape, gives you an X of the future post Evans (and injury insurance), while readding the size and tenacity lost from Jennings departing.
