11 minutes on Washington WR Denzel Boston
— Josh Norris (@JoshNorris) March 26, 2026
🟣⚪?
He dunks on CBs. He absorbs contact better than any other WR in this class
But is there a Cam Boozer effect here - where it doesn't look aesthetically pleasing, so we question if it translates to the proshttps://t.co/FhUDWI6D2j pic.twitter.com/Zw130bAppM

10 minutes on Alabama WR Germie Bernard
— Josh Norris (@JoshNorris) March 27, 2026
🔴⚪?
He does a little bit of everything. Stationary X. Movement Z. Manufactured touches. In many ways, the Alabama passing offense was built around him
ultimate glue guy!https://t.co/YDOAQobNes pic.twitter.com/SmnlVVf35W

Surprised he likes Hurst. I think that kid is gonna be out the league in a few years.

If im the niners, Im thinking the Seahawks are opposition number one. I need to be able to run the ball to get their safeties closer to the action, and I need a twitchy slot to attack Emanwori in coverage. If they want to sit in nickel all day long, you have to make them pay for it. That's easier said than done because Emanwori is quite a talent. So get him off the field.

What's frustrating is that the 49ers have drafted 2 guys in the last 2 years with the traits that everyone agrees the offense is missing in Cowing and Watkins. In addition, both Jordan Watkins AND Jacob Cowing were reportedly having an awesome offseason/camps, and then both got hurt. Even Grant freaking Cohn said that Watkins was the most impressive rookie on offense since George Kittle. That's lofty praise coming from him.
The more I think about the current state of the wide receiver room with Pearsall, the free agent additions and the young guys, the more I believe that the 49ers are not going to take a wide receiver at 27. I feel like the team likes their young guys and is hoping that either Cowing or Watkins take the next step in 2026. Furthermore, it really doesn't need to be a giant leap from those two with the guys they've brought in. One of those guys just needs to be a factor and contribute. The 49ers are likely just doing their homework on the guys they like in this draft in the event that one of those wide receivers is the best player on the board.

You have to weary of slot cloggers. Guys that have no ability to play outside. We already have guys that can play the slot. Pearsall, Kirk, Cowing, Watson. If you are going to bring in another undersized pure slot guy, you better be damn sure that he hits otherwise you are a Mike Evans injury away from fielding the lightest WR core in the league.

Yeah the more I watch, the more I'm like meh. Dude plays soft for being that "big" just more proof that this WR draft class is lacking big time.
At this point I think I would be just fine waiting on WR until day 2/3. Guys like Cooper and KC I like, don't love… I'd be just fine going with someone like McAlister or Skyler bell later.

If we're talking slot WRs someone like cyrus allen with one of our 4th would make sense. He reminds me of Tyler Lockett. I'm surprised he's not getting any attention.
Cyrus Allen is one of my favorite route runners in this class. Slot only, but understands how to get open and has the speed to create vertical separation pic.twitter.com/tPBymjMDrO

I like McAlister or Skyler bell on day 2/3 as well. I'd rather not burn a 1st on a WR in this class. In an ideal world we could move down a bit and recoup a 3rd.

Yeah dude is a small receiver in a big body. Doesn't use his hands to separate at all. He's a project like Stephen Hill and Marvin Mims if it works he has a high ceiling though so I get the allure. Bell is the guy I want the most

McAlister suffered a Jones fracture in his foot during TCU's Pro Day on Thursday (March 26), Tony Pauline of Yahoo Sports reports. McAlister was held out of the Shrine Bowl in late January after undergoing a right knee scope. This latest foot injury is another setback for the TCU product
I like the tape. Was an interesting sleeper. But he already had some character red flags and now the injury news. Jone's fracture is usually 3 - 4 months. Surely going to miss rookie camp and OTAs. I wouldnt be shocked if he goes undrafted.

Yeah I don't know what to do about Bell, I didn't see much for route running, he's a pretty linear runner imo. Not the greatest hands and the late season ACL means he's probably not seeing the field this yr

Would be nice to have a 6th or 7th round pick to use on him. I love McAlister but wasn't expecting too much from him this year anyway. Would be a nice stash for cheap if we get a late round pick from somewhere
