WRs: 2026 Draft Class

Not simple as just bringing in deep speed WRs.

You need a line that can give you chances to go deep and a QB who can get the ball deep.

Brock can make deep throws but he'a not going to launch it so defenses won't go crazy accounting for the deep ball. Our OL also needs work.

Really you don't need guys who break 40 times to hit plays deep tho. You just need guys who can get open consistently and there are guys in this draft who can do that. I'd rather get a more well rounded WR than a speed demon. Speed is great but it's not the only thing that makes great WRs. Jerry was a 4.5 guy and the greatest to ever do it.

Give me Brazzell, Boston, or Cooper.

The more I see the more I'm wanting Cooper Jr over the rest. Ideally a small trade back to the early 30s and pick up a couple extra picks.

I'm resigned to us picking him at #27 as it allows no desperation for WR the rest of the draft and we go heavy DL for pass rush in rounds 2/3 and then OL in the 4th. I just really want him to be fast and run a sub 4.45 40 to go along with his tape. If no trades...

27. Cooper Jr WR
58. Malachi Lawrence EDGE
92. Darrell Jackson Jr./Chris McClellan DT
127. Zane Durant DT (trade up to 110-115ish if we must)
133. Febechi Nwaiwu G
138. JC Davis OT
171. Thaddeus Dixon CB
248. Pat Coogan C

I'd be fine with Cooper. Would love Sarrat later too.

KC would end up in the doghouse fast af if he has the drop issues he had in college. His drop rate was astronomical.

His catching technique is inherently flawed. But if he could just invest in a juggs machine and work on that technique...

Aren't Cooper and Sarrat ranked similarly?

I think Cooper Jr is our guy. Plays like Deebo a bit too and can get open. Savvy and tough and good with yac.

If he could just run really fast in his 40 it would make him worth #27 and reluctantly passing over guys like McDonald, Hunter, Mesidor, and Icheanachor.

If Cooper Jr runs a 4.41 or better I'd want him over Boston

Kyle is gonna like this dude. Good route runner, tough and quick. Kinda see Randall Cobb or maybe some Emmanuel sanders to his game (from what I've seen so far).

I've been saying that forever. I'll taker a quality receiver that can run routes, shed defenders, block and has god hands over some guy that runs 4.3 but can't really play. I thnk a lot of the really fast guys rely too much on speed and never develop the rest of the game.

Now if you can find a sub 4 guy that is actually a well rounded receiver than that's great but there aren't many of those guys.

Out of curiosity from your point of view why is it not happening?

Because Wilson looked like a monster unleashed once Jacoby Brissett took over at QB. He'd he the #1 WR on the 49ers immediately. Not a chance Arizona is giving him up for Mac Jones, let alone Mac Jones and a 2nd round pick.

Don't you think part of that was a function of AZ throwing the ball more than any other team and that MHJ was out in the games Wilson exploded? HIs splits with MHJ playing aren't great. That said, he's probably better than MHJ at this point.

Won't play for two years....it's Kyle's MO. He'd rather play the likes of K. Bourne.

Sad but true.

Same thoughts. I believe they want Cowing out there. They still speaking highly of him, so you know his work ethic is there, he just couldn't get that hammy healthy last year.

If Cowing can stay healthy and produce, and Ricky as well it makes me think WR may not be such a priority in rd 1 or 2.
Did this guy show up to the combine on drugs? Bro looks demon possessed
