2026 Draft Prospect Watch List and Discussion

This was my favorite of the 5 scenarios MB put out. But id be good to swap in Boston
Scenario DFirst round, No. 27: WR KC Concepcion, Texas A&M

Concepcion often gets mocked to the 49ers because of his strong separation skills and ability after the catch, both of which are reminiscent of soon-to-be former 49er Brandon Aiyuk. He's also a dangerous punt returner, a role that became a need for San Francisco when Skyy Moore signed with the Green Bay Packers in free agency.

Second round, No. 58: OLB/DE Jaishawn Barham, Michigan

Like Lawrence, Barham is a player you'd rarely have to take off the field. He's accustomed to being an off-the-ball linebacker, though his physical profile — 6-3, 240 pounds, with violent hands — suggests he could also excel as a pass rusher.

Fourth round, No. 127: C/G Brian Parker II, Duke

Parker played tackle in college, but he's probably better suited to stay on the interior in the NFL because of a lack of length (32 7/8-inch arms). The 49ers could throw him into the competition at left guard this season with an eye toward moving him to center when Jake Brendel, 33, moves on

ND fan, so watched all their games. He'd be rb1 on most other college teams, great player with excellent return skills. Probably will be taken before our 2nd round pick and we have bigger holes to fill imo.

A five-foot-ten, 203 pound RB will get DESTROYED in the NFL.

Almost every recent mock has the 49ers targeting the OL now. I hope that's true. But, we'll see. There's a need. TW remains unsigned for a reason.

I'm not advocating taking a RB at 58, but Frank Gore was 5'9 217, so Price might be able to survive at that size.
If Freeling isn't on the board, I think ShanaLynch should be very careful with other OT's. I don't see many (if any) who might be ready to replace Trent, either this year or next. There are a number who played well as RT's in college, but not that many who played LT very well that might be available. That said, they may want to pull the trigger on a WR or DL Like others, I'd have no problem if they traded out of the #27 pick to gain more picks in rds 2 & 3. There are just about always teams willing to trade up into the 1st rd.

I really like him but my goodness man we draft a damn RB every single draft; even gave up draft capital last season for Brian Robinson and barely played him. We still don't know what we have in Isaac G and James. And it'd be a rinse repeat if CMC stays healthy all year in the drafting of a RB who never sees the field cause CMC never comes off of it.
Could be wrong but I think the writing is on the wall about how they feel about IG.

If they did take Washington, at least he played RB all 5 years of college, and isn't a little bit of a conversion like Guerrendo (who spent the first half of his college career at receiver).

I mean the biggest reason Shanny doesn't take CMC off of the field is because of his receiving abilities. So Guerrendo being a converted WR is not really a bad thing. No different than making Deebo play RB

Makes a ton of sense, love to see him in this offense. I don't think he makes it to us though

I'd be good with him, cooper or Boston in the 1st
We already know the injury history is scary, but the medicals on Jordyn Tyson must be really bad for him to slide down the draft.

I guess I gotta watch some guards.

I'm fine with that pick, not a huge reach and he would be a big upgrade.
It would shock me if they did it though.

Other places say he has the best hands they've seen at guard in a while. Has to improve as a run blocker and being stronger in general.
