Dont sleep on Joshua Gray. He's a perfect fit too.

3.75 is the perfect spot for a guard.

I like Donovan Jackson or Anthony Belton at 2.45. Either guy can play LT if needed too as well. Jonah Savaiinaea would be a nice pick too.

Then at 3.75 if we don't pick a guard at 2.45 we should have a choice of Luke Kandra, Joshua Gray, Dylan Fairchild or Tate Ratledge.

This draft is crazy deep at OL

Don't be shocked if SF goes with Spencer Burford at LG this yr. Not saying I would wanted them to go IOL or anything, I'm just expecting him to be the starting LG.

I'm hoping they go after Ryan Kelly in FA at center. Still playing well and a good vet. Won't cost a ton and I'm guessing he would like to win some games for a change.

I also think burford is likely the first option at LG to start the season
Most people feel that it takes longer for an O linemen to adjust to the NFL than it does for a D linemen. In Kyle's system it may even take a little longer. Puni stepped in and did a good job last season as a rookie but that was partly because the projected starter got hurt.

Agreed, hopefully they give more rookies chances and throw them into the fire.
Greatest rep I've ever seen

Yes, we need some defensive reinforcements but If we go into the season without a clear upgrade at center and LG then we won't win more than 6 games IMO.

Brendel is horrible. And Banks was putrid last year. If anyone says Buford will be starting at LG then we are really done.

"Jake Brendel's grades and rankings among centers through week 11, per PFF: • Overall Blocking Grade: 64.2, Rank: 40th • Pass-blocking Grade: 44.2, Rank: 39th • Run-blocking Grade: 71.1, Rank: 13th. There are 32 starters in the NFL"

I saw the All 22 vs the Vikings game last year. He got blown up in 5 consecutive plays. Like absolutely BLOWN UP. He spend more time on the turf or turned around and watching Purdy throw because he literally did nothing on the play. I have no idea what Shanahan sees in this guy.

Shanahan's refusal to make a change is going to bite him. We had a National Champion center on the practice roster ready to go and Shanahan doesn't even play him in games that meant nothing to see what we have instead trotting out the pylon Brendel.

Drew Dalman or Ryan Kelly would be a MASSIVE upgrade. We are basically playing with 4 offensive linemen. Brendel does absolute nothing.

I really wouldn't be surprised with a tackle at 11. Josh Simmons, Marcus MBow or Armand Membou.

Then 2.43 is a perfect spot for a guard. Run to the podium if Donovan Jackson or Jonah Savaiinaea are available. Anthony Belton would be a great fit at LT as would Joshua Gray later on. Chase Lundt is a great RT prospect as well.

We are about to spend 50+ million on Purdy and he might get knocked out of the league playing behind this Oline.

I think Brendel is horrible. I also feel like forester is pretty loyal to his guys people talk about how Kyle has all this control, imo he listens to his coaches a lot and they have a pretty big say.

Ryan Kelly would be a great signing and wouldn't cost a ton. That's my hopeful pickup this off season. That one move would greatly improve the OL imo.

I was never a banks guy. He was hurt all yr. Also no trent next to him exposed how meh he is.

I think Burford is better on the left side and wouldn't be bad if Trent and an upgrade at center are there.

I'm not investing a higher end 2nd for a guard. Not with the other talent available at other spots. Only way I'm doing any of that is if the plan is they're gonna be a OT long-term.

in 2023 Brock played with the same OL (minus Puni and had a healthy Trent) and he had an MVP season.

I'm telling people they aren't gonna go hard in the draft at OL. This isn't the draft to do that.

you want to know who they will be interested in, watch the short shuttle times at the combine.

fwiw I was impressed with Belton at OT as well.

This draft isn't particularly strong in Left tackles but there are a pile of quality guard and RT prospects. The 3rd round seems like the sweet spot to grab one

I'm all for it! Like I said keep your eye on the short shuttle times you for the lineman… 4.47 and lower is the sweet spot
Ryan Kelly is making 12.5 annually from his current contract. His overall PFF grading is only 2 pts better than Brendel.

https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/jake-brendel/11117

He would be a better than Brendel in PP, but not as well in RB. A big difference in the PB, I don't think hes going to take a pay cut and probably wants a raise.

He's vastly better as a pass protector. Toss Brendel in that colts offense with Richardson there and I think he's much worse than Kelly.

He's gonna be 32 and not in his prime anymore. Not sure who's given him a raise at this point? You'd imagine he'd like to win before he retires.

pff has his contract at 2yrs $19M ($8M GTD). I think SF could swing that. Unfortunately they probably stick with Brendel again

If Brendel remains the starter multiple people should be fired.

Has a future at center in the NFL. He absolutely killed it at the Shrine Bowl.

In an environment with NFL linemen and major-college stars, Perry more than held his own, Manyweather said.

"Tom is a very smart, and physically, he's very put together," Manyweather told The Athletic. He compared Perry to former West Virginia standout Zach Frazier, who went 51st overall in the 2024 NFL Draft to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Like Frazier, Perry was a high school wrestler. Both won state titles.

"When he walks into a room, just like Zach Frazier, he's broad shoulders, big chest, real yoked up," Manyweather said. "Tom's physically impressive. He's a very quick processor. He picks up on things very fast. He's very athletic. He's just a guy who happens to be playing Division III football."
