All in just off that clip alone

Has a future at center in the NFL. He absolutely killed it at the Shrine Bowl.

In an environment with NFL linemen and major-college stars, Perry more than held his own, Manyweather said.

"Tom is a very smart, and physically, he's very put together," Manyweather told The Athletic. He compared Perry to former West Virginia standout Zach Frazier, who went 51st overall in the 2024 NFL Draft to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Like Frazier, Perry was a high school wrestler. Both won state titles.

"When he walks into a room, just like Zach Frazier, he's broad shoulders, big chest, real yoked up," Manyweather said. "Tom's physically impressive. He's a very quick processor. He picks up on things very fast. He's very athletic. He's just a guy who happens to be playing Division III football."

Sign me up if he's another Frazier . Man I hope they nail this draft.

Nice find! Play him LG and then move him to C, unless we pick up Dalman in FA. Knowing Kyle wants no part of a rookie .

Ryan Kelly is making 12.5 annually from his current contract. His overall PFF grading is only 2 pts better than Brendel.

He would be a better than Brendel in PP, but not as well in RB. A big difference in the PB, I don't think hes going to take a pay cut and probably wants a raise.

He's vastly better as a pass protector. Toss Brendel in that colts offense with Richardson there and I think he's much worse than Kelly.

He's gonna be 32 and not in his prime anymore. Not sure who's given him a raise at this point? You'd imagine he'd like to win before he retires.

pff has his contract at 2yrs $19M ($8M GTD). I think SF could swing that. Unfortunately they probably stick with Brendel again

If they stick with Brendel, I just don't know what to say about that. It would be like going into 2019 with Cassius Marsh as your top edge rusher. Or keeping Erik Pears as a starting tackle. Brendel 2024 could make a 49ers All un-Pro squad of the 22 worst starters of the last 25 seasons.

I hate harping on our own players and criticizing them too much but I can't help it with Brendel. He is awful. I have no idea why Shanahan continues to play him. It's like we are playing with 4 linemen every game. He offers nothing.

I can't think of a worse starter on any position in a very long time.

Yes way better PP as I mentioned. I feel Brendel is definitely worse than Kelly in that regard.

I feel it could go either way. He could go what you mentioned or he can see how inflated markets are now and say this could be my last pay day and want the same annually or more. It's really 50/50 imo..lets hope he wants to win before he retires.

I wouldn't mind him if we were able to get him for that amount. I'm afraid they're going to stick with Brendel as well . The only hope I have is that Kyle and co have been on record to spend money on a C so lets hope they do something.

Issue with past spending at center was is wasn't with Forester as the OL coach.

I can't see Kelly at this pt in his career getting top end center cash. That time has passed. I don't see them drafting and putting someone in there either. We will see. Until I see some sort of urgency I will assume it's Brendel

If it's Brendel then we'll suffer together again lol...

Not my favorite center, or the best center, but imo, the most currently underrated center in the draft. Good player.

Brendel is paid like a low tier starter because that is how Shanahan values him. He rather put out a crappy starting vet vs. develop someone in the draft. Our HC is stubborn like that.

I think you underestimate how much faith Kyle puts into his coaches. Foerster has a ton of say regarding the OL. He's the one that's a Brendel guy (came with him from Miami).

Then I would hope that last years performance by Brendel would have Kyle questioning his faith in Foerster.

Paid like a low tier starter but performs like a below average backup. At least McKivitz is in the average range at RT.

Ditto. This franchise tried to get a QB with hardly any experience but some tools to work with. Wish we invested in a similar way at center- take a high football IQ guy, that is strong enough to take on DTs if necessary, that can pass and run block. It won't take a first round pick to get said player, but a commitment to developing players with those tools would be nice. The film doesn't lie. If Kyle runs with Brendel again, it would be like having Lawrence Phillips as your back on 3rd and long.
Trade back a few spots and draft Booker. Having Booker and Puni as your guards for the next decade. Sign Dalman in free agency and your IOL would be set.

Trent Williams LT
Booker LG
Dalman C
Puni RG
Mckivitz(or draftee) RT

Mckivitz would be a weakness but you can live with that if the other 4 guys are studs.
