Why is that. Do they use different methods? I think armlength is really overrated. Do O linemen need to extend their arms to the fullest extrent during actualmplays? I doubt it. I would be more concerned about footwork, blocking technique and strength.

It's a good point, the theory is that if a rusher extends a long arm on you, it's a game of reach. You're right though, if an OL fully extends they've lost the play or will have to hold, footwork and technique are so much more important.

He played at ASU before he transferred to Nebraska. Was a starter at tackle and center before leaving. A solid lineman at ASU but I didn't follow him after that.
