It's happening fellas, might as well start the thread already:

Welcome "not first almost first basically 2nd" round pick Roger Rosengarten

Somehow, I hope Fautanu is happening.

lol I said the same thing in Rosengarten thread. Fautanu is the perfect OT for us and IMO right there with Alt as the best in this class. His footwork is 2nd to none. Some think he's a guard at the next level and for that reason there's a chance he slips a bit. We'd still have to trade up to get him but he's one of the few prospects that I think would be worth it.

Dude you're trying wayyyy to hard to argue right now lol . I said we don't have to trade this years 2nd to move up.

if you understand what I'm saying. Then why deflect about a scenario I'm not even talking about doing?

Christian Haynes, max melton AND one of the top tier OTs. Why can't we do that?

I don't think we need to trade a 2nd next year to move up and get a guy we really like.

Omg you know what I was saying. You asked about THIS years 2nd….which had nothing to do with what I originally said, clearly I miswrote.

trading next yrs 2nd is not the same as this yrs. Why you brought it up is beyond me.

I'm with you Fautanu is perfect for this team at OT. Footwork, hands, technique and athleticism are ideal. I don't even care that he's not 6-6, he's got the length of an 6-6 OT and not being massively tall is great. He's gonna have leverage.

he's a guy I have no problem moving up for.

I explained why I brought it up. This year's 2nd is guaranteed to be in your almost 3rd range. Next year's 2nd isn't guaranteed to be as late. If you feel that an almost 3rd is worth trading up with. Then why not trade the guaranteed almost 3rd. If Brock and CMC gets hurt our 2nd next year might be an almost 1st

Absolutely

Fuel to the fire, now a rumor that Pitt is still interested in an Aiyuk trade.

Fautanu + Adonai Mitchell or
Aiyuk + - 28M

Just a thought. I love Aiyuk and end of day don't think he's getting traded

Then why do folks say future picks are worth less a year before? The rule of thumb has always been a future 2nd is worth a 3rd this yr (basically a 4th in our situation).

Future picks are worth less…always have been always will be. teams want players now. They don't have to move their second this yr to move up and get a guy. I'm not talking about moving into the top 12-15.

so yeah I'll take someone like Fautanu and get whomever you mentioned in the second this yr and worry about that 2nd that's not there a year from now…which we might be able to supplement by moving Deebo anyway.

Or move up for Fautanu and keep BA

I love Aiyuk but I'm starting to think this may be best for business only because we have to pay Brock 💰. This also gives Brock a long term blind side protector and although maybe not as good as Aiyuk (potentially ever) but another young receiver he can grow with and develop a rapport with that we don't have to pay serious money to for 5 years. Could allow us to keep Deebo longer too.

They can absolutely pay BA and Brock. By the time their cap hits actually matter guys like Kittle/Debbo are basically off the books.

no one wants to keep Deebo longer than BA.
Just finding out about this dude (others talked about him)

im a fan as a later draft gem that can play center for us.

Duke Mayweather says he has Zach Frazier as OC1, and it would seem he expects him to be a 1st rounder, maybe early 20s. Duke can have a tendency to have a bias towards players he works with (don't know if that's the case here or if he's even worked with Frazier) but his opinion should hold a lot of weight. Interesting. I'll take JPJ at discount

He works with Frazier. Like Duke and he's great at what he does…including having some bias towards his dudes. Love JPJ to drop
