I want him too. Would be a huge help in my opinion. Against the run and free up guys on the line to rush the QB.

Yeah I agree completely.

To play contrarian specific to the bolded, he is often last off the ball at the snap and can struggle with pad level; two things that assuredly do not naturally counter the strengths of the tush push. Add in that tush push usually occurs on third and 4th Downs and there are real concerns about his conditioning allowing him to stay on the field beyond second down, especially as the game goes on, and im not sure he's a tush push buster.

That said, probably all a moot point because losing kelce to retirement probably ruins the effectiveness of that play more than any defender could

Dwayne Carter out of Duke is a run stuffing high motor big kid that I would love to draft in the third

Just draft good players please.

I don't love drafting IDL in the first, but I wouldn't hate it as long as he's BPA. I'll check him out for sure. Just based off those clips, he looks like another natural 3 technique(kind of looks like Hargrave lol). Drafting an IDL would be okay since AA/Hargrave are old. They need to infuse the interior with youth.

That said, if they don't add another IDL thru FA or the draft whose strength is stopping the run, man, they're asking for s**tty run defense again in 2024. They were able to mask it all regular season, but it was there the whole time and reared it's ugly ass head in the playoffs.

There's no way in any universe that Newton falls to 31. There aren't 30 other teams stupid enough to pass and let him get to us.

looks like aaron donald. Address Ol in free agency if possible. Arik is getting old.

I mean there's zero chance he drops to us. So it doesn't really matter. He's probably one of if not the best defensive prospect in the draft.

Getting a two down thumper is a need for. You can find that in FA or later in the draft. Someone like Hassan Ridgeway was a cheaper guy that was pretty solid against the run when he was here. Go get someone like that.

No idea where he's projected to go, I'm not using a top 100 pick on a NT that is slow off the ball, isn't conditioned to play meaningful football and can't rush the passer.

go sign a fatty who can eat up blockers or draft one on day 3, we got a s**t ton of later picks for something like that

Sweat collapsing the offensive line. Crushing the Tush Push equivalent. He's bulldozing those guys like little rag dolls. You guys are under estimating him.

So you are advocating taking him in the 1st? Seems like your primary reasoning is stopping the tush push?

Not that high but you are under estimating him too. He can help us.

Sure on day 3 of the draft as a two down guy. You're not taking a dude like him earlier than that.
I'd rather get Jordan Jefferson late day 2 early day 3.
Sweat is intriguing, but I don't think he's what they want in a base 2i nose. I would've said he's not a scheme fit after only seeing his weight, but this dude can move pretty well for someone that's 366. Albert Haynesworth was a fat f**ker that played in Schwartz's wide 9s. It had pros and cons, but one of the things they struggled with is that he couldn't stay in his gap on lateral plays, and it made is so easy for the OL to climb to the next level and attack the LBs.

Find someone that's 6-2, 320 pounds that's built like a f**king human kegger with wheels. They want an athlete at that position with good weight on his frame. Someone that can fire off the ball and attack while also having the brute strength and leverage to take on doubles and not be displaced from his gap. In other words, find the next DJ Jones or someone like a young Grady Jarrett.

I haven't provided any feedback on him to under or overestimate him. Where do you think the niners should draft him?
