Hero, go see what you can find on Khristian Boyd

I'll definitely check him out.

If Sweat is there when they're picking on day 2, I'd struggle not pulling the trigger if I were the 49ers. They've rebuilt the DL, and the only thing missing a base run-stopping nose tackle.

The only real options before the late late rounds are Sweat, Jackson, and maybe Dewayne Carter.

That said, there's a ton of late round guys I think we could look at. I think that may be what we do because we can get better value at other positions early.

Late round NT prospects to consider:
Khristian Boyd, Northern Iowa
Jaylon Hutchings, Texas Tech
Jowon Briggs, Cincinnati
Jordan Jefferson, LSU
Popo Aumavae, Oregon
Fabian Lovette, FSU
Evan Anderson, FAU
Justin Rogers, Auburn
MJ Ale, Washington

I like Tyler Davis as part of the maybe group. Undersized like Carter, but has insane strength and did the dirty work for Orhorhoro.
Im kinda operating in 2 year windows at this point, and assuming no one else backs out, I think we're good at 3T for the time being.

I'd double down late in the draft for Khristian Boyd and Evan Anderson
Starting to think Fabian Lovett could play NT in our scheme. He did it at FSU. He is more physically gifted and gets off blocks better than Evan Anderson IMO.

Lovett has absurd length too -- 35 1/2 inch arms. If we took him late I would..... LOVETT.
Johnny Newton is going to be really good at the next level and may slip bc he is a bit undersized

He also had foot surgery earlier in the year. That said, I'm pretty sure he's unanimously seen as the #1 DT. I still think he goes top 25.

As much as I love Johnny Newton which reminds me close to a not as explosive Aaron Donald back when I watched his college highlights...I'm really hoping for Troy Fautanu in the 1rst and Kingsley Suamataia in the 2nd, both trade ups obviously but our OT's would be set for years but right side of the OL good immediately.

Six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach Bill Belichick is a fellow devotee of the derriere, according to Georgia coach Kirby Smart. In a video posted to X last year, Smart described the time he joined Belichick to watch defensive linemen run the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. Smart, then the Dolphins defensive coordinator, was confused by Belichick watching the drill from behind the starting line.

"I was like, 'Why are we here? You can't time the finish,'" Smart said. Dolphins coach Nick Saban, a friend and former colleague of Belichick's, had the answer, according to Smart: "Bill likes to look and see how big their ass is when they get down in a 40-yard stance because he wants to sign the biggest-assed defensive linemen he can sign."

Those are some crafty, heavy hands. Nice job of syncing up hands and feet in his moves. I need to peep this dude. He looks nice.

Looks better than I expected. His size had me concerned because he was listed as a 6-2 275 DT a lot of places.

6-3 283 as a power DE isn't so bad. And his interior experience means versatility. I can see why we're interested. Dude actually has moves/technique.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to "can you find a way to beat the guy in front of you?" and the odds go up when you have a lot you effectively throw at your opponent.

Exactly and apparently the only reason this guy isn't really getting touted is because of the stats. Watched a little bit of him when I saw that we are bringing him in, he wins a lot, I think his best ball is still to come. Would be a great day 3 pick
