if he did, then he belongs in jail.. no doubt... but STUPID Shanny still drafted CJ over Pat..

CJ was a first round pick?

If only we had a coach who couldn't see Trey Lance could play QB and wanted him to play safety.

Jury still out on Trey... but we do have a coach who felt that CJ was a better choice than Pat and it'll only cost him a 3rd rounder...

The fact that this happened last October, was kept quiet all throughout the draft and then we finally knew about this during the end of preseason is pretty pathetic from everyone around. Punt God turned into c**t Devil in my eyes. Anything with minors is terrible, but that story makes my blood boil. Hope he comes out bleeding out of his cell every morning.

FULLY AGREE... if anyone or any teams KNEW about this before the draft and was the reason why he lasted so long, those teams SHOULDA BE PUNISHED as well..
"Remember, Matt Araiza is 22 years old and a really good punter" - Browns coach after they sign him, probably

"The most important thing is that he can punt it really far, like really far, have you seen how far he can boot it? Its crazy!"
From ESPN article:

In a lengthy statement provided to ESPN on Monday, Araiza's parents, Rico and Kerry, said their son has been prematurely convicted in the court of public opinion.

"He has been extorted, discriminated against, harassed and the subject of multiple and continuous threats of violence and death. He has been released from his job and our entire family continues to receive horrific threats of violence and death," the statement read in part. "We have all been canceled. Every member of our family.

"Salacious rumors grew as fact. There are multiple witness reports to deny the claims that are made against him. The legal system is designed to find the facts and make decisions. They should be allowed to do that."

I wasn't in the room so I'll wait for the facts to come in before any judgement. I heard in here that he's admitted to it.. doesn't sound like that to me.

Parents: "Our son is a good kid and didn't do it." Big shock.

He admitted to having sex with the victim. He may have not have known she was underaged but the damning part is immediately after the incident she was bleeding and claimed she was rape and went to the police.

That series of events i dont see how he could claim he didnt do it

Phoenix, were you there? No? This type of tweet is defamatory as it says here are the deets of what happened. No it isn't the deets of what happened. It's the deets according to the accuser. Have women lied about this stuff? Ask Brian Banks linebacker. I'm sure we would have railroaded him as guilty on here and a dirtbag for many years while he was sitting in jail for something he didn't do. Not all accusations are fact. Am I wrong?

He spoke on the phone with the accuser, the police recorded the call. He admitted to having sex with a minor so he's already f**ked, even if the rape part can't be proven because its he said/she said but she also went to the hospital immediately after it happened and has been consistent in her retelling of the events. I'm certainly willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, especially with Araiza's weird behavior on the phone call.

I really DGAF what his family has to say, its been proven time and time again that families can have an absolutely warped sense of who their child is, or just completely piss poor morals that likely led to them ending up that way. Brock Turner's dad defended his rapist son by saying "he doesn't deserve to have his life ruined over 20 minutes of action."

Could it be he was joking / messing around? Do 21-22 year olds joke / mess around and stay dumb stuff? Not to harp on you you are a good poster but I try to avoid being quick to judgement and anger let the process play out, and if he is innocent of wrongdoing he already has action against the Bills, tweets like this one and perhaps the NFL.

What is the joke with "you really need to get yourself checked for an STD" to a 17 year old? Am I missing the punchline?

I stand corrected. Young adults never say dumb stupid stuff. Point taken. This remark entirely out of any context, as I have no idea the tone of voice or actual rest of conversation, is proof enough.. who needs actual fact finders like a judge / jury.. when you have the social media mob.. case closed.

In the absolute best case scenario, a 21 year old admitted to having sex with a 17 year old, which under California law, is statutory rape. And that's if you exclude the rape kit that was done and all the evidence, including bruising that supports this girl having been forcibly raped.

The lawsuit states that Araiza then took her inside the home, where at least three other men, including the other two defendants named in the suit -- Araiza's former Aztecs teammates Zavier Leonard and Nowlin Ewaliko -- were located and that she was repeatedly raped for about an hour and a half. The lawsuit states that nose, belly button and ear piercings were pulled out during the acts and that she was bleeding from her vagina.

If anything, there should be a lot more criticism towards the university and police for slow-walking this case.
