Martin Emerson from Miss State is someone I'd like in the 2nd-3rd round. Excellent size and a ton of experience playing zone coverage

If we resign Williams i dont honestly see a need for drafting a CB i would rather get a veteran because for starers i think were set
This plan is disgusting.

Investing picks in young corners to develop is never a bad idea in a passing league. And while Thomas' improvement later this season was awesome to see, yeah we're absolutely nowhere near "good at CB"

I really like both Washington DBs,
We have a much better chance at landing Kyler Gordon then McDuffie.
We gotta get some vet depth (possibly starter) via FA and draft a CB IMO...also I think we need to draft a S as well. TH is fine and all but we need someone that can play all over the field with Ward...not sure Tartt is coming back.

getting a mid round CB and expecting him to hit it off is a gamble. CBs have one of the highest bust rates of any positions.
Id rather invest our limited draft picks on immediate contributions. Its tough to know before we resign everyone but my top needs
1) EDGE (this draft is great for EDGE rushers we will get great talent at round 2)
2) OL
3) ST returner
4) CB
5) 3rd down RB

Barrows thinks Moore will be tapped to take over SS if Tartt leaves . If they can somehow get another 2nd/3rd and want to draft a S, I'd be all for a Gordon/Cine pairing.

Agreed 1000%
We need a proven FA corner (or two). Let the young guys we already have learn from them.
I'd put RB and safety (assuming we don't resign Tartt) as needs above CB.
All our RB's are injury prone.

I agree, RB, nickel corner, but most of all OC/OG is our needs that will help Lance succeed.

Not expecting to hit on them but you definitely won't hit on them if you don't take any.
I'm fully aware that for the most part the top corners in the league are early picks. Outside of Richard Sherman I can't think of too many elite corners lately who were drafted rounds 3 or later but you can still get solid guys. Hopefully Ambry turns into one. Moseley was undrafted. Maybe it won't be Ramsey, Lattimore, Howard, etc type but guys do fall through the cracks, sometimes it's a matter of off the field concerns though which we may not be willing to gamble on - JC Jackson fell for that reason iirc.
I'm certainly not advocating drafting CBs no matter the board but just saying adding a few if the board looks good isn't a terrible idea and may not be a throw away you think it is.

Marcus Jones - Houston
This dude has Kyle Shanahan written all over him, being able to play multiple positions. Especially electric in the kick/punt returning category, something we NEED, also used a little on offense. Athlete.

I know you're not suggesting he is or is going to become deion Sanders but the difference is that Sanders did what he did at 6 ft 190 lb with 4.2 speed. Jones is 5'8 and I doubt he runs that quick. Still though, that doesn't take away how badly I want to draft him.

The only way that seems possible is if they cut Mosley and put his money towards an upgrade. Frankly, Im not opposed to that.

Kyler Gordon (If) he falls close go our 2nd is a move up candidate for me. He's got the tools you want for a DB in this system. Toss him in the slot at worst.
