I get the feeling we are going to have a big UDFA crop this year and probably focused a ton of scouting toward that.

I think Breida could land us a 5th for sure, maybe a 4th. He's young, cheap, fast as heck and when he has been healthy he's produced.

Goodwin I think could get us a 5th too just off his speed.

Solly getting us a 3rd is comical 6th at best.

Trade the first or second round pick 2021, which i dont see as valuable because of the unknown college season (corona) and the talent of 2020.
Pick someone like Cushenberry, Hennessy, Diggs, Johnson or Fulton

Wut? so keep throwing themselves in the hole by giving up future picks. no dude

Amen to that. All the prospects on this list will be gone early on day 2. They are out of the Niners reach. Gotta hope the Niners can flip a veteran or two to get day 3 picks. Other than that, it's all about the UDFA market.
I don't think it's far fetched that a team out there sees tape on Solomon Thomas, and feels they can utilize him better than the 9ers did. Being a top 3 pick counts for something so I could see a team giving up a 3rd because he hasn't produced like a 1st, yet.

Not sure JL is ready to give up on him yet. Maybe hoping for a breakout season like AA. But taking Kinlaw doesn't look to promising that JL is optimistic about it.
Day 2 plan - drink heavily.
It will be hard to watch all these good players left going to other teams. Especially division rivals. Don't think I will watch. Probably just wait for schefter tweets and scramble to get the TV on if the 9ers somehow land a pick
The Niners team is loaded, everyone. Only spots to upgrade would be OL, another TE, CB. We could use a solid backup LB. We have stars in many positions. I get we lost the Super Bowl. Our Super Bowl winning teams had some of the best DL's in football. The NYG best Brady with a great DL 2x's.

I wish we had cap space to trade for the Guard Joe Thuney from NE Pats. He would be a perfect fit at RG. To me he is the missing piece. A dominant interior lineman.

Players with trade value?

Breida--cheap
Goodwin--willing to restructure
Thomas--5th year option left, 1 yr prove it
Pettis--do we give up on him after 2 years??
James--is he expendable?
Wilson Jr--he belongs on an active roster and not living on a practice squad
Beathard--doubt we want 3 QB's on the roster next year since Jimmy showed he can stay healthy

None of those dudes are worth a day 2 pick.

In your opinion, no. Depends on what another team thinks they're worth.

Thomas being a #3 pick should net at least a 3rd out of someone if they think they can get the potential out of him.

Goodwin could net a 5th if a team is looking for speed and values him that high

Beathard was a 3rd rounder so he should get no worse than a 4th or 5th if a team is looking for a decent backup QB and thinks hes better than any of the later projects in this draft.

Can't just be sour and not at least try to think this stuff out.

Hopkins went for a 4th and a beat up RB.

doubt you can get a third for Thomas

Only if you're dealing with BoB in Houston. The same idiot who just re-signed Laremy Tunsil to a 3 year extension for $ 22 million per year. WTF!

All of them together not worth a day 2 pick

We just need to market them the right way. Let's call it the "Expansion team starter pack" or the "Cellar dweller instant upgrade kit" and see what we can get.

I think it'll take a pick from us too for that deal to happen. Like I said, Thomas and a 2021 4th for a late 3rd this year could happen. It just depends on whether Lynch and Kyle are ready to move on from their mistake.
